What’s holding back your praise today? 

A piano riff started it all. A choir leader lost in the words of a song, feeling something shift in his spirit. That’s how “I Will Dance” by Arnex began, long before Emmanuel Smith came on board. Arnex met Emmanuel Smith, who was ministering at their youth event, and something clicked instantly. Arnex shares: “I was immediately struck by how genuinely down-to-earth, warm, and authentic he is. I connected with him instantly.” What came out of that connection wasn’t polished or restrained. The seed for “I Will Dance” was planted while serving as a choir leader at my church “Winners Chapel”. I started playing on the piano and got so deep in the spirit and words of the songs. That was the beginning. Further down the line, I met Emmanuel Smith, who was ministering at our youth event. Beyond his incredible vocal talent, I was immediately struck by how genuinely down-to-earth, warm, and authentic he is. I connected with him instantly.
I had been working on a song that captured the raw, uninhibited joy of praising God inspired by how King David famously danced without caring what anyone else thought. When I approached Emmanuel with the track, he loved the song and the energy of it. Not long after, we went into the studio, and “I Will Dance” was born.
The Message: What I Want Listeners to Take Away
I want this song to be an active, physical release of joy. In life, we carry so many heavy burdens, but when we step into praise, those chains break. I want listeners to remember:
* Praise is active: It’s not just something we listen to; it’s something we actively participate in.

The song is a fun pop song that’s easy to listen to, utilizing vivid imagery of God’s beautiful creations to draw the listener toward a sense of gratitude and worship.

Oludee beautifully paints a picture through her well-written lyrics of a world carefully crafted by God’s hand. References to the trees of the field (0:20), the changing seasons (0:47, 1:32), and the sun and clouds (1:19) emphasize that nature is a testament to God’s “masterpiece” (2:49). Read Psalm 19:1: “The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.” Creation isn’t silent. It’s constantly preaching, and most of us just aren’t listening. 

The song reminds us of God’s role as the sustainer. God is not passive but actively takes part in every aspect of our existence. This is highlighted by the lines (God is the one) “who keeps all things bright and beautiful” (1:35) and emphasizes that all things were made by His word (2:40). God is not just the architect, but also an ongoing provider and our protector.

We are encouraged to worship God as sung in the lines “People let the praises rise” (1:13) and “A great is God Almighty” (1:53) and not just be bystanders as we live our lives in this world.

The song is a serene reminder of the beauty that surrounds us in this world. Keep in mind that the beauty that we see around us is a reflection of God’s order and that we should honor and praise him for the beauty that surrounds us. “How great is God almighty, who has made it well.”

Clark Sisters, Fred Hammond, Deitrick Haddon Announce Gospel Residency

I suppose this is getting a certain amount of attention because of Las Vegas's reputation and unofficial moniker of 'Sin City'.

But in any case, this proves to be pretty interesting. All the aforementioned musicians are well known for contemporary gospel music from the 1980s forward. The creative bent for these acts were to have worship-themed lyrics but the musical backdrop had more contemporary soul/rhythm & blues-influenced components, and made inroads on R&B radio in their heyday. I might be tempted to go check them out. The three acts definitely have a fanbase, and it probably would prove to be commercially viable for these acts.

Romans 12:1–21
Paul urges believers to offer their bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God. He calls for a renewed mind, sincere love, humility, faithful service, patience in suffering, and peace with all people. This passage lays out a life shaped by the mercy of God—marked by transformed thinking, genuine love, and overcoming evil with good.

I used to listen to J. Moss when I was younger, especially during my fifth grade year, and I can’t believe I’m rediscovering his music again.

I was listening to 21:03’s “I’m Sorry,” and it took me back because I remembered J. Moss’ connection with the group. Going back through his music made me realize how much his sound and message really stuck with me.

It’s amazing how God can use music from different seasons of your life and bring it back to you when you need it. J. Moss’ music is speaking to me all over again.
