According to 9news on facebook, the stage government is announcing sometime this weekend that Stage 3 will open sometime next week.

Not too sure on the validity of their source, but i guess we'll have to wait and see.

Has anyone else noticed how much garbage there is laying around literally everywhere at the station these days? Walking past the bus stop along the fence line from the furthest car park it is like a literal tip with hundreds of cans/ bottles/ assorted rubbish etc. It's the worst I've ever seen it. I tried emailing about it a while back.. no answer lol.

I'm so confused about why our power usage has increased... 2 person household. The only thing different from last billing period is we have an oil heater running overnight in the bedroom and sometimes electric blankets on low... Would that explain $10/day ish, 30kwh/day ish? Our last billing period before smart meter install was averaging around 15kwh/day so I'm really confused and worried about our next bill

Heyy guys, I’m planning a maternity shoot for two of my good friends tomorrow afternoon at The Spit. It was a bit of a last minute idea made today so we’re rushing to find something nice and appropriate for the mum to wear.

Does anyone have any advice from past experience on where we could find a nice outfit locally?

They’re both in their early to mid 20s and the baby is due Saturday, so I feel like we might be breaking some kind of maternity shoot record by leaving it this late 😅

Been coming to this spot - Rice House (korean cuisine). They have amazing spicy fried chicken, bulgogi among other awesome food.

This place feels peaceful and relaxing af for some reason (yeah not what you'd expect in the middle of southport) and it is one of those hidden gems!

Grew up on the GC. Moved away 2 years ago for work. Came back this month. Absolutely gobsmacked at how busy it is during weekdays now.
Took 2 laps of the old rooftop doctor’s car park before finding a spot on the 2nd level today. Was about 1300hrs. Struggle to find a car park at mudgeeraba Woolworths at 11 on a Tuesday. Used to be like that some Arvos and on the weekends but is this the new norm?

I’m a nurse so I understand people have days off during the week. But surely not everyone’s a shift worker haha. Some event or something on this week?

Hello Gold Coast. I was visiting earlier this week to have a ride on the trams, and noticed these kiosks on a few stations. I think they’re a neat idea, building a small retail space into transit like this. That said, not a single one I noticed was open the afternoon I was visiting. Did I just come at the wrong time, or have they all permanently shut up shop?

Hey all, we are going to wet n wild in August and wondering if we are able to wear wetsuits. Getting conflicting info as we reached out to park and they said no, but a post on FB from a week ago has multiple comments of people saying they wore wetsuits... And there's nothing about it on website.

I made the mistake of booking a "mummy takes a solo local getaway" at the Meriton during the GC Show (didn't realise until I got a note from my kiddo's school about show day). I am wondering how busy southport actually gets during the show in terms of foot traffic? I'm not wanting to change the date (birthday gift, got good rates etc) so just going to enjoy the fireworks from the balcony!
