I'd like to share a passion project I've been working on. It's a web-based board game collection called Wall Go AI, featuring various abstract strategy games.

Recently, I've put a lot of effort into adding Go/Baduk to the app, complete with an AI opponent to practice against. The game supports different board sizes (9x9, 13x13, 19x19) and features various difficulty levels to play around with.

I know how important a responsive and challenging AI is for practicing, so I would absolutely love to get some feedback from experienced Go players on how the AI feels, the scoring system, and the overall user experience.

I'm not really new in this game, and I'm already used to GoQuest. Since GoQuest doesn't really have any analysis bot, it's quite hard for me to study better. Are there any app out there where I can use analysis bot?

Hi, I’m learning to play go! On this tutorial, the correct move is to place a white tile where the red circle is. How is this allowed though? This doesn’t immediately capture anything and there are no liberties, so shouldn’t this be illegal? Thank you!

I've recently been experimenting with displaying Go content on a Waveshare Photopainter S3 E-Ink frame connected to Home Assistant.

The display is an 18 cm, 6-colour E-Ink panel (800×480 resolution) driven using the excellent esp32-photoframe project: https://github.com/aitjcize/esp32-photoframe

I've implemented a code to draw games from the SGF file. I've built a library of about two hundred games.

One of the challenges is that a full refresh takes about 30 seconds and involves the usual E-Ink flashing, so it's not suitable for move-by-move playback or animation. On the other hand, it's perfect for showing static content that changes only occasionally. It also has a limited range of colours - I'm currently using red to colour white stones because the contrast between white and yellow isn't perfect. The user can choose the colour scheme and SGF file.

I'm also looking for good sources of SGF files or game collections that would be suitable for automated downloading and display. Professional game archives, tournament feeds, daily game resources, large public SGF collections, or APIs would all be of interest. Ideally, the display would download it automatically from a fixed URL.

If anyone has built an E-Ink Go display before, or has ideas for interesting content that takes advantage of a sharp but relatively low-resolution screen with infrequent updates, I'd love to hear your suggestions.

Hello, I am a 12 kyu player ogs. Me and some stronger friend decided to buy one of these two. Which one do you think would suit especially me better?
Btw I have one issue of the EGF magazine but it’s not exactly what I am looking for, from some free examples of the two up mentioned I think they are more closely to what I want.
What would you recommend us?
PS: you can come to other suggestions if you know other great resources of commented games principally and maybe some lessons.

I am brand new to Go, just learning through videos and apps and I love it already. I’ve been playing against the computer to try and put some of the theory I learn onto the board and I am still learning scoring. In the picture I am playing as black, i understand all of the spots that were scored both me and my opponent but I wanted to see if someone could help me understand why none of the indicated section was considered my territory.

If you have any videos, apps, or books you recommend for Go, I would love recommendations! Just bought a board and planning on playing some matches with friends soon!

Both players passed, and we are arguing about whether the circled stones should be removed as they don’t have two eyes and aren’t connected. If they should be removed, what do we do with the now uncontested territory?

I’m curious at why I’d win if I leave the three white stones in the top left corner but lose if I take them. they’re dead regardless, at least it appears that way to me. I just started learning a few days ago so there’s a lot I still don’t know. any answers are appreciated, thanks :)
