Since y’all appreciated my previous drawing of mama goose with her babies, here’s the latest goose painting. For full transparency, this one was done using a reference photo from the web.
This is very much a practice piece, as I am working on figuring out how to transpose what I learned way back when about using physical medium onto digital art. I am still very much mucking around with various tools options and layers and so on, and just figuring things out generally, but I’m definitely starting to enjoy this mode of digital drawing/painting.

What can I do with a flightless gosling on my pond when its family have migrated for the winter?

Hey guys long time no see. This is one of my goslings she was actually abandoned so she's been on her own for a little bit now but I've been looking after her she's been okay until I got here today. I noticed this mass hanging down it almost reminds me of a hematoma I've got an okay look at it but I can't get that close and wondered if anyone had any thoughts? I would love to hear from it's a parent's life for me or somebody in the wildlife rehabbing area I'm on my own here as you all well know and I'm going to call a friend of mine hopefully I'll get through to her and see what she recommends I she seems fine and all other respects I just I'm a worry wart. Well miss you guys I hope you're all well I've been kind of focused on some stuff here and I haven't been on much so love to hear your input. Mucho respect to all of you.

Hello everyone! This random geese appeared in my front yard a few days ago I feed it and gave him a pool to bathe in. Will it be okay alone?
I don’t know where to get another geese from ?
She loves my kid and follows them around, chases them ms plays with them

Hello! Saw the fellows and suspected they are hybrid between greylag and canada geese. I spotted them in Frankfurt (Main) where there's a lot of both.

We can’t tell what breed the white one is. She’s about 6 weeks old. The brown is 15 weeks old for comparison

What's going on with this Canada goose? I've never seen such a soggy goose and I know it's around the time that they molt but none of the other geese were missing that many feathers. The goose was walking, eating, hissing, and behaving normally, but I'm just wondering about the missing feathers and why it's so soggy???

What's good for the goose is good for the garden!

Does anybody know why these two Canada geese have a unibrow? I thought that was unique to the giant Canada goose

🪶 Update! The baby goose that was left behind slept on the island last night (where the whole family slept when they were still here). I heard it around 5:30 am and by the time I made it outside it was flying away. It was flying over and around the house last night before dark and I expected it to leave then. Guess it needed a good night's sleep before the journey. I will miss the daily interaction with them but won't miss the poop all over the driveway! 😂

We've had the same Canada goose parents coming to our property since 2018 (the reason we know it's the same pair is because Mom has a slight limp). They have habituated with us for sure. They arrived in February with last year's 8 babies, kicked them out around the beginning of March and Mom made her new nest on an island in our pond. They had 7 babies the end of April. Sometime early this morning all of them left except for one. The attempt at honking sounds pitiful along with the roaming around looking for its family. 😢 Anyone know if the parents/family will return for it? TIA!
