Campus Housing🏢 GCU Apartment Too Stuffy

Ever since moving into my on-campus apartment, my bedroom has been excessively warm and stuffy, especially at night. The thermostat is locked to a minimum temperature of 74°F, which is too warm for me to sleep comfortably.

I spoke with my Resident Director about lowering the thermostat, but I was told they couldn't change the temperature because it's university policy.

The thermostat has an occupancy sensor. While I'm asleep, it eventually switches into "unoccupied" mode because it doesn't detect movement. When this happens, the AC stops completely, causing the room to become even warmer. I end up waking up in the middle of the night and have to physically get out of bed to wave at the thermostat so it detects motion and starts cooling again.

Has anyone else experienced something like this in a dorm or university apartment? Is there usually a way to disable or adjust the occupancy sensor so it doesn't enter setback mode while someone is sleeping? I'm also curious whether it's common for universities to enforce a 74°F minimum, since my room becomes uncomfortably warm at that temperature.

Hello! Is Tomitz, Kristen a good bio lab teacher? I’m trying to get a better teacher for my bio-181 lab as my current has been graded the worst of the worst. The only available is Tomitz, Kristen but I can’t find anything on them. Don’t let me make the wrong choice not 🫩

And if you have any pointers for the course that would be highly appreciated.

Hi! Is it possible to complete this master in 2yrs? How many classes can you take per semester? I’m interested in knowing all the details.
