Viridian approached me with the most adorable doodle concept for this artwork; the whole essence of a character holding a leash attached to their collar is SO adorable! It makes use of furry so well. That’s what I love about the idea TwT.

For the drawing itself, it was very much inspired by Dislyte’s divinate art (RIP Dislyte as it totally fell off). The initial concept doodle Viridian made had three parts to it, one with V sheepishly starting to propose a question. The next part was a larger portrait of V having the bravery to ask for walkies, with the final part being V and a happy walker walking together! 

In my mind, I felt I could combine the first two parts, having the shy V be the main focus in the artwork. Then, this is where the Dislyte divinate-based inspiration comes in, where the character is drawn once again in the foreground (it helps with telling a story chronologically too cause viewers typically see the drawing from the top left down to the bottom right). I hope it makes sense to you :3

Hi! I wanted to share the drawing that I did yesterday. I never really drew furries before (except few sketches)
I tried a semi-realistic approach. I am still learning but I hope that I can improve in the future!
(Ps: I kinda got lazy with the rendering at the end (it was 4AM))
