A lot of people feed foxes mixed with medication to treat or prevent mange. (They get mange constantly). Also, it's possible that this video is AI.

People need to be aware that feeding wildlife is detrimental to them, even if its done with good intentions. Feeding wildlife alters their behavior and they get more comfortable with people. But its not that they're domesticated, they're still wild animals. And inevitably they end up hurting someone, and often times this mean they get caught and put down to prevent any more harm to the public.
Moral of the story, please do not feed wild animals. They need to be afraid of people to survive.

If you’re trying to prevent diseases spread spreading in the local population, then you have to feed them the medication that’s the one exception to your comment. Yes, in general everything you said is true, but you have to acknowledge that in there are times where you need to prevent outbreaks from spreading in the wildlife because then it’ll start to spread to the pets too.

Does this go for birds as well? My mom got me a bird feeder recently but I’ve noticed the squirrels also taking a liking to it. Is this bad for them long term? I planned to continue refilling as it empties out.

Oh, god. The fight between the squirrels and corvids over the food set out for the smaller birds is real.
Actually, though, in somewhat recent years, I learned that so many people in my general vicinity put out hummingbird feeders year round that it has drastically altered their natural migratory patterns. Cause why chase the budding flowers when there's just always food present here?

I think bird feeders in a garden are fine. Squirrels much like other common rodents have become so ingrained into human society that you cannot stop them from getting into any food left outside. But don't feed birds at the pond though.

Speaks volumes about one's cooking when even an animal would rather have the plate itself rather than the food, lol.
EDIT: Wow, downvoted to negatives within seconds. I triggered some people that think they're Michelin chefs and are upset that even animals won't touch their cooking. I didn't know those kinds of people existed on this sub, but I guess it takes all kinds.

Y'all... If you want to feed foxes, just use cat food. They like kibble. Hell they make fox kibble you can buy.
That said, probably don't do that out in the wild. It's one thing to feed suburban foxes that raid your trash can so they stop going after your trash. It's another thing to feed wild foxes in the woods and encourage them to get too comfortable around humans.
