Since Sam Neill recently died, it made me want to look for one of my favorite bits in Funhaus. It’s one that me and my cousin randomly quote from time to time. I also love how the crew although we’re kind of playing around, the respect they had for him still showed through.

I'm trying to find a video where they were talking about scott weiland and making funny jokes about him. There were references to his heroin use. They were saying its in his genes. Then james made a reference to "sex type thing" by singing, "i am i am i am, i wanna get high as fuck."

Hey folks, been running thewheelhaus.com since its inception in 2015. For anyone who didn't watch Steam roulette/wheelhaus on Funhaus, it's a wheel that spins you a random Steam game to play. But it's been plagued by Steam's ever-expanding low-quality selection of games, and thus results have catered to it, making it hard, I suspect, for BYTT and other channels to use it.

So what's in this big update?

• IGDB-curated picks. Every random Steam candidate gets looked up on IGDB before it lands on the wheel. This should significantly eliminate shovelware and other low-quality games.
• IGDB quality slider. The slider from 0–100 sets the minimum IGDB rating. Default 60. Drop it to 0 if you want pure chaos?? -> really don't haha.
• Better winner card. Cover art, IGDB user + critic ratings, genres, themes, developer/publisher, "similar games" grid, and the standard one-click Steam launch button.
• Color palette shift to match the BroughtYouThisThing style. BYTT Boys, if you want me to not use the color palette, just let me know.
• Music off by default. Yeah... that should have been toggled off by default. sorry!

I was rewatching steam roulette and wheelhaus in a marathon. And something came to mind. When you go back to the early IG episodes you can see them mostly get real video games or PC games ports of console games. Then after a while you getting these shovelware early access games during the wheelhaus stuff and as that went on the content of the games they would spin for would just get worse and worse. Even when they focused on genres.

This is a constant and got worse as it went on. Its not the show gets less funny. its the game they spin get worse and not like worse to make fun of but nothing of quality.

Revisiting the funhaus collection & was looking for play through the crew did of a game. Can’t remember the name or find the video

- a single player action game

- it was set on an island, maybe after a plane crash

- natives/tribes attacking the player

- they get a gun at some point

- the run past the enemies to skip a section of the level, dodging the monkeys throwing fruit possibly?

- I remember it being on armitage on YouTube but can’t seem to find it

- the title of the game was 1 word?

Did anyone else follow this path? I found Cumtown later, but it feels like the same style of riff-centric comedy just taken a step further.

After taking a trip down funhaus memory lane this past week, it struck me how similar the two felt now that I’ve listened to hours of Cumtown.

Not sure how much crossover there would be as I’ve never seen a mention here but I wanted to see if anyone had a similar experience
