Important announcement regarding some of the recent posts here
As you have probably noticed, there has been an influx of naked body shots being posted here in the last few weeks. Moreover, if you check the profiles posting them it’s pretty obvious they’re trying to use the sub to promote their OF pages. Let me remind everyone that this subreddit is not meant for that. This is an SFW subreddit. I’m sure that there are plenty of subreddits on this platform which are meant for those kind of posts, but this is not one of them.
Given that, starting from tomorrow there will be zero tolerance for users who clearly use the subreddit to promote their pages. Anyone who’s in breach of this rule will be PERMANENTLY BANNED from this subreddit.

Trying to change life style
54 yo male. So a year ago, a few medical issues came to ahead. Needed a whole sale change in my lifestyle. I went on a glp1 for 6 months, started tracking cal, started daily walks and lifting - just dumb bells at home. Progressive overload, but i started at a laughably modest low weight due to fear and previous injuries.
6 months in, i stopped the glp1. Had a much better understanding of diet and food. 178cm tall. 74 kg. Im currently at 2800 cal/day, 8k steps a day, modest lifting (45min x 4 days a week). 3x mobility stuff for my joints. Trying a lean bulk after much online reading and chat gpt.
Visually, im at abt 18 to 20% bf in my estimate, which tbh, was the look i was going for. Happy to be corrected! Im now getting to weights that im a little anxious abt ... so lurking on here to seek trawl for advice. Interested in continujng progressive overload , but worry abt joints. I also train alone. Thx for reading!

Leg Day Thursday Fueled by Pizza Wednesday.

We do pizza almost every Wednesday night for dinner. Always concerned about my readiness the next day. But honestly, I can manage a good energy level out of a bad/non nutritional (respectively) meal. F53

Same spine. 39 years apart.
Played Division 1 baseball before a surgeon told me at 21 I had the back of a 90-year-old man. Nearly 40 years of training around it since. Posting because I don’t see much content about staying athletic with a real structural limitation, not just age. Happy to answer questions about the training or how I’ve adapted it over the years.

New to the sub, 58 and making a change...
Good morning, all! I'm 58 and getting back into weight training. My wife is type 2 diabetic and we've both started a GLP1 injection at 2.5mg. I'm currently have 276 lbs, down from 287 just a few weeks ago.
I've started eating MUCH better and tracking everything I eat and drink. I'm limiting my caloric intake to 1700-1800 per day and hitting about 150g or protein everyday. I've started weight training at home with some dumbbells doing 6-8 exercises of 3x10. I have a bench and bar and will also incorporate those in as I get further along. I'm just trying to build a consistent routine and better eating habits to help shed some weight. My current goal weight is 250, then 200, and utlimately about 180-ish? I'm 5'9 so hopefully in about a year I will be well on my way to getting there.
