Every morning I count my shadows before leaving the house. For the last few weeks, I've been waking up with one extra. It doesn't always follow me, but it always arrives home first and is waiting outside the door.

I've asked the sun to stop making new ones, but it insists they're all mine. Has anyone found a safe way to return an unwanted shadow before it learns your real name?
