Incoming Student Varsity Sports
May seem like a stupid question. I'm going into my first year and was wondering if I have to attend all the tryout days for women's softball or only 1?

Applications are now open for the 2026/27 school year through ontariocolleges.ca
If you know what you want to study and where, start your application, what are you waiting for?
If you know what to study but aren't sure where to study or if you're unsure about everything, that's ok, now is a great time to do some research.
• Not sure what to study - Fanshawe Pathfinder https://www.fanshawepathfinder.ca/ can help you narrow it down
• Visit college websites and their social media to better understand what they're offering
• Once you do that, it's time to get a feel for the college vibes by visiting campuses. Take advantage of Open House events taking place this fall, like Fanshawe's on November 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or book a tour at a time that works for you.
Applying to college is kind of a big deal, so take your time, do your research. We are here to answer any questions you have as you prepare to apply. Whenever you are ready, start your application, your future awaits.

I just got my schedule for ssw term 1 today and I’m looking to make a insta group chat of discord chat for the entire class. Then maybe eventually break it into sections. If you’re going into ssw in September and are interested in making a chat so we can help each other let me know!

I’m not seeing many elective posts, so as someone that’s going into second year. What is the EASIEST elective I can take. Preferably online, second year, no essay and it’s a year long course.
As well as how to register for them if your schedule is already made.
Thanks chat‼️

Can anyone share their experience getting a co-op? What was the field you worked in?
I am interested in applying for co-ops, but I know my brother took the cyber security program and most people in his year were unable to land one. I have asked for details from the program co-op consultant, but would love to hear a student’s experience on the level of difficulty of landing one!
I have good grades for the first two terms and am debating between applying for a part-time job to work at for the rest of my schooling, or holding off if co-op opportunities are abundant for the winter and fall terms!

I’m starting the Practical Nursing program at Fanshawe College (Woodstock Campus) in September 2026.
I’m looking to connect with other students from the same course and intake who are commuting from London, Ontario to Woodstock.
I’m also looking for a possible carpool partner for classes.
If you’re in the same program and traveling from London, please message me. It would be great to connect before the program starts. 😊

Hi everyone! Long story short, I missed the Fanshawe residence roommate portal. I thought it was open a little longer, but I just paid my residence fees and found out it's closed, so I'm hoping to find roommates here instead.
I'm going into Dental Hygiene at Fanshawe this fall. If you're also going into Dental Hygiene or another career-focused program, I think we'd probably be a great fit.
School is a huge priority for me, and I'm a very disciplined person when it comes to academics and my daily routine. I plan on spending a lot of time studying, both on campus and in residence. I'm also a morning person and like having a consistent schedule, including an earlier bedtime (usually around 9–10 p.m.).
I enjoy cooking and will probably make most of my meals at home, so it would be nice to live with people who enjoy cooking occasionally or just appreciate a quieter, homey environment. I like staying active, working out, and going for walks when I have free time.
I'm a clean and organized person and really value having a comfortable and respectful living space. I'll be in my program for three years, so I'm hoping to find roommates who are similarly focused on their goals and are looking for a positive and supportive environment.
I don't drink or smoke and would strongly prefer roommates who don't either. I'm looking for people who value discipline, respect, and maintaining a good balance between school, personal routines, and getting along with the people they live with.
If that sounds like you, feel free to reach out!

Has anyone taken the plumbing techniques course? If so, could you let me know what the program is like and what time classes typically take place?
If anyone is going into the program and wants to connect let me know. Thank you!

I saw that Fanshawe finally open their standalone nursing BScN program and that there is preliminary approval for the RPN to BScN program but theres no other details besides that. Does anyone have more information about it? I’m an RPN who wants to bridge in a year or so.

I want to know what are your thoughts and opinions on Urban and Regional Planning Technician - Geographic Information Systems of Mohawk? What are the pros and cons of the program in your point of view? How do you think it compares with Fanshawe?

Hi I’m starting this September and I wanted to know if Fanshawe even does something like oweek and if it has cool events and stuff like that, not just “regular” orientation. I’m asking because I’ll be living in residence and I don’t know if I should bother moving in early (Aug29-30) to get to know more people/the city/my campus before classes actually start, or if I’m fine just moving in Sept 5/6, thx!

Is it normal for OSAP applications for fall start to still show in process with no calculations yet? In order to attend school I have to leave my full time employment but obviously I do not want to do that until my OSAP shows calcualted or at the very least that I'm approved for it. I have a family and all that and a job i've been at for 10 years and messing all that up in the off chance osap doesn't approve me doesn't seem fun. I've never had post secondary education before so I don't know how all this works.
I already paid the deposit back in May when I was first accepted and applied for OSAP in May as well. Around June 30th I was told I needed to reupload one document (birth certificate) because the bottom was slightly cut off, I uploaded it then and my application just says processing still.
When do the calculations and or general "green light" statuses usually happen for a fall intake student?

Hi, I’m a current student coming back for my third term. Going through my electives list and I’m really intrigued by this course. Has anyone ever taken this before or is anyone planning to take this? What do you think about this course? It just looks very interesting to me.

Hey everyone! I’m a new student starting this fall and I am very worried about missing important deadlines coming up. Specifically when/how to register for classes.
