Homes Townhouses everywhere?

Every nook and corner you go to, that once had an old house is being converted to 3 or 4 story townhouses all cramped up together. This is understandable for Seattle but why here, where there's plenty of space? I rarely see SFH and if I do, then they are almost a million. What's the reason for this TH push? There's not a park in walking distance and the sidewalks are almost non existent.

Man on Roof Grand Ave

Does anyone know if the man on the Grand Ave Apts rooftop on Grand Ave is okay? I went out to dinner at Tacos and Beer and Grand Ave was closed down . The building was surrounded with many police cars and a fire truck. This occurred July 21, 2026 around 7:30 or 8:30pm.
