Hi everyone! I normally hang out over on the genealogy side of reddit, so I'm not 100% sure if this is the beat place to ask... But I have some old photos I came across that I would like to clean up.

They were taken with a cell phone, and a lot of them are photos of printed photography inside a photo album.

I haven't done photo editing since the days of Picnik (iykyk lol). I'm not well versed in Photoshop. I'm really just limited to my Iphone and free options.

I would love to take a crack at these.... but would really love some advice on where to learn to do it, and what the best options are out there. 😵‍💫

Hi everyone! I recently received these photos from my engagement celebration, but the neon sign behind us was extremely bright and overexposed in several of the group shots. It created a large white glow that washed out the center of the backdrop and became distracting.

Would it be possible to reduce the brightness and glare, restore the detail around the sign, and make the words “The Kleinsorges” readable like they are in the reference photo? I would also appreciate any general improvements to the exposure, lighting, sharpness, and color while keeping everyone’s faces and features natural.

These photos are very important to us, so I’m hoping they can be salvaged. Please let me know whether this is realistically fixable. Thank you!

I have never posted to reddit before so apologies if i am doing this wrong haha. my dad used to have a pontiac firebird with custom paint, and i want to get him a custom model car done, but the only picture he has wont be high enough quality i think to get something done. can anyone please help me so the picture is more clear so i can send it to an etsy shipper to have it 3d printed?:) he said it was a dark green/blue, but it was more green than blue if that helps. please let me know! thanks!!:)

Wondering what’s possible with this small circular cut picture of my mom, her sisters and their dad.

It is their favorite picture and would like to do something with it for them.

A few thoughts/questions…

- Could it be made square/rectangular or would it just be best to leave circular and minimize any AI usage to fill in the gaps?

- Is it possible to colorize? I believe they said the bike used for decoration in the second pic is the bike their dad was sitting on and it was red. Edit: Just talked to my mom and apparently that’s a different bike. The bike in the black and white pic was a “medium bright blue”. She said it looked like the blue on an Aquafina bottle.

- Can it be cleaned up enough that it could be printed as much larger photo without looking grainy? I think this original was only about 3-4” in diameter.

- How much is typical to tip for work to do this? Pardon my ignorance, just never had anything like this done before.

Hi all!

This year marks 10 years since my grandma passed away. I never got to meet my grandpa, he died before I was born, but from everything I've heard he was a great man, and honestly a lot like me.

Both of them spent their whole lives fighting for everything they had in the sertão, the arid lands of Brazil.

This photo is one of the only ones I have of them together with the rest of the family... It's old, water damaged, and honestly kind of a mess atm.

I've tried a couple of AI restoration tools already and none of them got it right or improved it much.

If anyone here has the skills to clean this up properly, I'd be incredibly grateful.

I know some of this are in a very, very, bad condition and if nothing to to it's Okey, I just really want to give the photos to him, and my grandma who really suffer when he was a child, and always tell me how she wishes to have the photos in a good condition, and I don't have any money to paid anybody to do it, so if anyone wants to help, Im really appreciate you.

I was wondering if anyone would be willing to help me fix a massive light leak in this first picture?
Unfortunately, I suffered from some really bad light leaks in these pictures. I’d love to have at least one good film picture as it’s the last picture I took of my boyfriend and his R32 before he sold it.
I’ve attached some additional pictures to help piece together the main picture, I thought it might help with piecing together the image and figuring out colouring.
