I am unsure what generation of E-Bike I have here, but I would like to repair and use this bike. I am being offered $250 for this bike. The problems are as follows: cracked screen and failing brakes. I would like to work on this bike and get it up and running. I mainly would like to know how I could replace the brakes and screen. Is there an outlet that sells standard parts for the brakes? I will be contacting Lectric to assist in my endeavors soon, but I would like to see other options available

Hello, I’m 14 years old and Ibought this ebike as a DIY project a few months back. I determined that the controller was faulty and I ordered a new one. When it arrived i hooked it up to test as shown in the video. The kit included the controller, a screen and a new PAS sensor. When I tested everything the wheel started spinning by itself and when pedaling there was not a difference (same when tested on road). When I change the assist to the second option the motor starts spinning a bit faster by itself. I suspect it has something to do with the 6KM/H button on the display. I sctually got the spinning to stop earlier when testing on the road. You could hear the motor spinning but wheel not turning. I can’t get it to happen again. Could that be a lead?

It feels like a simple issue. I suspect that I need to install the PAS sensor included in the kit but I’m unsure if it works with my bike. There is also a 3 pin wire that comes from the thick motor cable that has nowhere to plug in in the new controller (see video).

Hey guys so my Eleglide m2 dipslay ( bluetooth version ) was damaged and I wanted to replace it. It is sold out in the official eleglide website and says it will be back maybe in 2 month, but I can't wait that long. Can you please suggust a display that would be compatable and has all the functionalities that the old display has and works without any issue. It is okay if the new display don't have bluetooth and the app version i just want to ride my bike again.

I’m afraid Ill have to replace the entire tire and tube, what’s the best solution? I believe it’s a roofing nail that happened to be on the sidewalk/bike path.

Bought this ebike the other day and first time taking it out and I braked at around 15mph (it’s 52v 2000w motor on a carerra hellcat ) and the bike felt like something was stuck in the wheel. Checked the back wheel and the rotor had completely failed any idea what happened and do you think will be an easy fix

Looking for some advice - my son has a Ridstar Q20 Pro. He needs to replace the front brakes for sure (whole system) and possibly the back. Can you recommend a good replacement for them. Looking (possibly) Amazon (Canada or USA) or wherever.

My old ebike from 2010 had a distinct whine when the throttle kicked in, something that actually stood out. My current ebike doesn't have that anymore, it's just a generic whine that sounds like every other ebike and scooter I hear on the street these days. Philly has a heavy ebike and scooter scene, so I'm curious if others here notice the same thing, like older motors had more character while newer ones all blend into the same sound. Would be cool if motor sound was more distinct again instead of everything sounding identical.

Posting in case someone finds this helpful. My son bought this e-bike used from a friend. It had bald tires and the brakes were shot. There is no information on the Lelekuai website on the specs for the brakes and no info online like a YouTube video showing how to change them. Lelekuai was no help at all.

These Shimano style brakes on Amazon work and are cheap.

When changing the brakes you need to loosen the cable all the way for the piston to retract. Otherwise you can’t get the pads over the rotor. I hope this saves someone some time.

I was looking at a few options from lectric I have a $1500 budget and I'm trying to decide between the xp lite 2.0, xp4 750, and the xpress 2 commuter, I like the price of the xp lite 2.0, however the increased speed and distance of the xp4 750 as well as the accessories it comes with on the current sale sounds really nice to me however I've heard that folding bikes aren't worth the hype and that's why I also have the xpress commuter as an option, I want an ebike for basic travel as a car replacement but I don't usually travel too far or too much but just something as a fill in for when I need to travel, I do live in flordia and to my understanding won't need registration or insurance but if I'm mistaken on that please inform me, thanks for your time!!!

Hi, new ebike (HiKeep M2601) owner and don't know anything about maintenance really. I've watched a few videos but honestly it still feels like my brain shuts off when trying to figure out what might be the problem. In the video there is this rattling noise that sounds like the chain is running against something but I can't figure out where it's coming from. There's also a second noise that starts to happen in the lower gears (gears 1 and 2 out of 7). The first/shorter video is the higher gear (6 out of 7) and the second/longer video in the comments is the lower gear sound (2 out of 7). The bike has a Shimono 7 speed, if that matters. I finally had a chance to take my fat tire e-bike out after a light rain, and it reminded me why I enjoy riding it so much.

The wide tires make rough pavement and little bits of gravel feel much less noticeable, and the upright riding position is comfortable enough that I can just cruise instead of thinking about every bump.

I'm still getting used to the extra weight compared to a regular bike, but once it's moving it feels surprisingly stable. The suspension also takes the edge off uneven roads.

I mostly use it for short rides around town and nearby park roads rather than commuting, and it's become an easy excuse to spend more time outside.

For those of you riding fat tire e-bikes:

• What tire pressure do you normally run for pavement?
• Have you made any upgrades that were actually worth it?
• Any maintenance tips that new owners often overlook?

I'm looking to build a really annoying security setup that will put off most prospective bike thieves. I live in Southern Mexico and the bike is a Santa Cruz Skitch with a value is around $2700.

Currently the plan is anti angle grinder LITELOK X1, an additional second lock (lighter) D/U lock or medium chain and the WSDCAM motion censor alarm.

Is a second D lock worth the extra weight? Unless it's another anti angle grinder (heavy/expensive) lock most D's can be bolt cut in seconds. It is more annoying for thieves to have to deal with a chain and a D?

I have a Lectric XP3 with hydraulic brakes. I recently bought a brake lever lock, that locks the brake lever so the rear brake is engaged.

The idea is that I don’t live in a high crime area and if I want to stop and run into a shop for a couple of minutes, I don’t want to have to drag out my big chain lock.

I do turn off the battery key and take it with me.

My question is, will having the hydraulic brakes engaged for some period of time have any adverse effects on the braking system?

So I’m getting an e bike this year and I need the best place to order from and tips about e bikes would be helpful please !

I did a proper long ride last saturday on my titan Pro. It was my first time going somewhere with a destination in mind other than commuting around town.

Rode out through the Marin hills just to see how far I could get. First 30 miles were easy then I checked the battery and it was at 38% with about 17 miles still to get home.

That's when the math started. 38% for 17 miles, should be fine, but I caught myself easing off the throttle on every climb. Slowed down through the flats too.

I got back with 15% left and honestly felt relieved. 47 miles total, hills, decent pace for most of it.

Now i'm planning a 60 mile coastal route next month and don't know if i should go for it or build in a charging stop somewhere in the middle.

Anyone here pushed past 50 miles on mixed terrain?

I see UL certification mentioned a lot, especially when people talk about battery safety and storing an e-bike indoors.

I’m still pretty new to e-bikes, so I’m curious how much it actually matters when you’re choosing one.
