As a huge fan of the first game and its DLC support and multiplayer, I'm struggling to understand the "out of scope" explanation for Dying Light: The Beast. We already know it started as a Dying Light 2 expansion before becoming a standalone game, but The Following felt like an entirely new game as well and still released as DLC.
Could you give me a better idea of what specifically made The Beast too large or too different to remain an expansion? From a player's perspective, it feels like we're getting less substantial DLC while content that might once have been an expansion is now being sold as a separate game.
Overall, while I did enjoy my time playing the game. Its been nearly a year since its released and we gotten bullshit community challenges on and on. This is likely going to be an unpopular statement, but I felt like I wasted my money.

Hello, I finally bought dying light 2 this week. I was a big fan of dying light 1 but all the changes to 2 really out me but with how things are now I thought I would give it a shot
The only thing that I have a problem with is the amount of virals that show up any time I do anything.
Save a guy? Virals. Kill some zombies? Virals. Kill some bandits? Virals
Like it doesnt matter if I kill a single zombie on a roof those mfs are on their way.
Like yeah its a zombie game they are gonna come at me but I remember for the most part not having this issue in the first game
I may try turning down the difficulty or something to reduce this because I'm not struggling on normal but I am just sick of them being the fun police.

In short, I have a problem. I started leveling up my legend and in 13 days I got the legend level up to 203 honestly without any bugs or cheating. Now I'm taking a break because I'm starting to feel sick of the game It's been 5 days since then, I'm ready to return to the game, but I feel like the plot is suffocating me again and the question of how to dilute it Any ideas for a game to keep you from getting bored?

They are really really hard to kill. I can only kill them with finishing moves.

I just got the game for my Nintendo switch 2, and I have been enjoying it, but Iâve been getting quickly overwhelmed by my lack of good weapons. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Any other tips are welcome as well.

If anyone has the three weapons Iâd appreciate it if you could drop them for me because there no longer buyable and after you can just craft a new one please

So I don't know for sure if it was pure boredom or just me thinking a bit too deep into things, but the biology of Spitters to me is fascinating, and I want a reason for it to make sense in a fun way and I've come up with this for maybe a few hours.
In Dying Light: The Beasts infection information page, it told us that they used to be paramedics during the outbreak who mutated to projectile vomit the medicine they once used to help people, simple enough, but it bothered me to how vague the definition was, and how little sense it made, what kind of medicine could've changed their biology in such a way to turn them into infected mortars, and how theu would produce so much bile in order to throw it up as projectiles.
I went searching for a while, looking at Dying Light lore medicines like Asporfin and Antibiotics to look for anything, then I decided to take a look into antiviral medicines I reality that could potentially alter genetic material and cause mutations, what came up kinda spawned even more questions, but it started to make sense, the medicine in question is known as Nucleotide/Nucleoside Reverse Transcriptase *Inhibitors*, which are used to treat HIV, looking at it I reminded myself of everything Inhibitors in Dying Light 2 are, theyre a cocktail of Antizin and THV GenMod, both altered versions of the virus to act as suppressants for the infection itself, as well as the original Harran Virus having the ability to naturally mutated the classic Toads from the first game, which couldve transferred in some way, and people in Villedor always warn people of the dangers of using Inhibitors though we never truly see what they cause when used on the wrong person, and who would have access to these Inhibitors early on in the viral outbreak other than Paramedics if antibiotics and antiviral were passed out about as fast as candy on Halloween, and even them, is it possible that some paramedics got so desperate to delay their own infection they took a gamble with Inhibitors and mutated into the Spitters we see them as?
Im desperate to be proven wrong or even given more info to ask more questions, its one of my favorite things so please by all means educate me if I got anything wrong lore-wise or if something doesnt make correct sense

I know they said they were looking into touching up the finishing touches for the beast about almost a year ago now. Are we ever going to have a physical disc version of the beast? Itâll look great with my other physical copies of DL and DL2

It seems like although all my weapons are nerfed, Volatiles are nearly invincible, and even the weakest zombies are harder to kill. Has anyone experienced this? Did they just presume weâd stop playing once we reached level 300? I guess theyâre kind of correct if so, but still.

Hi, so today i was helping out a friend in Bozak, but when he disconnected i got put into hellraid, with the bozak horde quest selected.. Weird glitch right? Well it also put my entire normal inventory into my hellraid inventory. Now my normal inventory is completely empty. Does anyone know how to fix this? I have been grinding this save for a long time. (The items did not go into my item stash either)
Edit:
Platform: Steam
OS: Windows 10

Hi, with the addition of DL1 to the extra subscription, I thought I'd replay it, this time on console. So I wanted to know if there are people out there working on trophies, playing for fun. Anyway, if you're interested, here's my PSN: Rafalls_83

I played with my bro but after progressing the story, we realized that my bro doesn't get exp because he didn't progress a little at first, so from start to now, he lost tons of exp from mission, I'm at lvl 12 and he's 5, is there any way for him to catch up? Any command or something cuz I feel bad and it doesn't feel fair.

What are the chances of the beast getting a final update for mod support and maps like 2? Been a while since the beast had a huge update and feels lack luster

Hi everyone, I recently downloaded Dying Light 2 again, and strangely enough, the graphics performance is really poorâlots of stuttering and frame rate drops.
I tested it on low settings with D3D11 and no ray tracing.
Strangely enough, mods like âRaid of the Towerâ run pretty well.
My PC specs are as follows:
Radeon RX 6700 XT
Ryzen 7 3800 (8 cores)
32 DDR4 RAM
Do you have any explanation for this?
ps: no mods are used and with clean download pilote are up to date too

Part 20 of testing the structural LIMITS of version 1.6 on Nightmare. Today we are exposing a SEVERE collision map geometry leakage inside the Asylum complex, proving that SOLID vertical meshes FAIL to register active AI boundaries during high-intensity chase logic.
I executed two independent, highly controlled isolation SWEEPS across different vertical sectors to verify structural layout durability. In BOTH environments, the internal pathfinding algorithm encounters a CRITICAL shortcut failure: when an entity enters an active PURSUIT loop, the engine bypasses standard layout restrictions to compute the absolute SHORTEST linear path towards the playerâs coordinates. If that path CUTS directly through a solid corner structure, the AI simply clips THROUGH the concrete layer.
Look closely at the data from the basement tracking PHASE: while keeping a strict 2-3 meter safety threshold from the wall to rule out weapon clipping anomalies, an agitated VOLATILE attempted to phase straight through the solid geometry. Because the asset's 3D head model FULLY penetrated into my sector, a hitscan validation via the Iconic Rifle registered a CLEAN, fatal headshot. The definitive proof lies in the texture engine: upon death, the high-velocity BLOOD decals rendered directly onto the interior, player-side wall surface.
This behavior REPLICATED flawlessly on the first floor using an Iconic SMG against a VIRAL cutting a structural corner from a closed room at a 0.5-meter distance. FIRING at asset nodes that shouldn't EXIST in my active sector reveals that your geometry layers are completely open for exploitation.
#21 // Levitator // is coming TOMORROW, scaling the industrial zones to audit a highly BIZARRE Z-axis spawn glitch involving completely FLOATING environmental assets!
The fix is on the house. :)
