Got two female runners to keep my older two call ducks happy. They’re the best of friends after only a couple weeks! They’re shaq and snowy

My pet jumbo pekin is really fat and loud,I don't really mind and I just want to know if it could harm her,

the image of her in a black crate is comparison to another pekin.

She doesn't have a name yet, but she'll have one soon!

This duckling is still alive, but listless and has this backbend going on. Any ideas on what is wrong and how to help it?

Was found at work and put/taken upon me to get it to a rehabilitation but I gotta keep it through the night till they open tomorrow. None were open when I called, I know no swimming, stay clear from slippery surfaces, shallow dish/lid for drinking clean water. Warm bedding 80ish degrees but with space for him to cool off down if need be.

I have no idea about food, it hasn't eaten for the last 4 hours and will be in my care for another 8 minimum. Not sure how long they can go without eating, so if someone could steer me in any direction that would be great! Have pelletized chicken feed, bird seed, (see photos) but am happy to catch bugs tonight if need be. I know nooch is crazy high in niacin but this is just my brain racking for things available to me because it's almost 1 am. Any advice will be taken graciously, thank you

I feed the ducks at the lake by my house every evening and I was surprised to see this little one show up with momma. I’m guessing by the perfect smoky eye the little one is female.

Was also surprised to the geese here tonight. It’s 107 in the DFW area so I thought they would’ve flown up north by now.

Hatch day is today! So far 6 have hatched and 2 more seem to be hatching!

Meet my ducks,I have an american jumbo pekin named butters and a normal pekin named biscut,biscuit is a two year old rescue who with aggressive intervention is now living a happy life,and then two ducklings,Maverick and goose,goose is a black Swedish duck and maveric is a unknown duck,and biscuit has basically adopted them,butters is the only one remaining from the original flock and has animal ptsd from a fox attack. They all are good peers and like to forage together.

Noticed one of my gals feathers are set really weirdly and sticking up today. Is this early molting?
Otherwise acting normal , eating, drinking, moving around just fine. None of the other ducks feathers look this way right now.

Hello everyone! This is my first batch of ducks so I'm not familiar with all the nuances, but I noticed my golden hybrid has a bit of a bulge on her lower tummy. It hangs down more than my other three ducks so it caught my eye. (Images of duck attached)

I did my googling and came across water belly/ascites in chickens and saw it happens in ducks too. It seems odd she'd have this since she's so young (11months), but I was wondering if anyone else has had this in ducks? And if there's any other things I should look for?

In my googling I also saw some ducks have a fat 'pouch' about that area where the eggs sit before being laid, so maybe it's that and it's just more pronounced... Or maybe she's just chubby.

Some info:

-11month golden hybrid female

-lays about an egg a day (rarely skips a day)

-is being extra broody rn and guarding all eggs (chicken's eggs included)

-approx 6.25 lbs

-palpated the area and it didn't feel like water, kinda just flesh and a bunch of feathers

-not waddling anymore than usual or seeming to be wide stance

-the hanging belly doesn't't brush the ground... Yet?

-no other symptoms, she runs, eats, swims, no issue. Is a spicy muffin with anger issues

-she eats purina duck pellets plus layena layer feed since she's with the chickens and they crossfeed

-gets extra calcium (powdered egg shells or oyster) and fruits and greens on the weekend with chili powder, tumeric, garlic, oregano and thyme

I have emailed my avian vet for another opinion but wondered if any one in this sub had insight/thoughts in the meantime too.

i noticed there’s a goose flair here … as the number one canada goose fan (the only canada goose fan) i thought i would attempt to convert others with these photos i took while birding.

photos from SE ontario, taken with a really old nikon coolpix camera lol.

eta: while the photos look close, i was a safe distance away from mama and babies to not cause any stress, i never get close enough to any wild birds to disturb them. they often approach me but i do my best to not bother them!

found these two babies in my front yard, in shade from the heat. i think their ducks, but i just wanna make sure. They probably came from the lake in my backyard. I want to take them there but I don’t know if that’s the right decision or not. I also saw a big iguana that got scared off, so maybe their siblings were eaten, or they were hiding?

Not sure what to do, does anyone have advice?

I am incubating some call duck eggs right now and Theyre reached, and pasted their hatch dates. out of a 12 egg lot 2 are remaining, however only one has made any progress, which is a half inch hole still covered by the shell fragments. is there anything I can do to help the poor guy or is unfortunately not possible to save him. he hasn’t made any progress for more than 6 hours and it’s been 2 days since the hole originally popped up.

I got an adult duck about a week ago, and one of my drakes is desperate to mate with her. Is there any way to stop this? I have 6 other female ducks, too

Do any of u like muscovy ducks? Personally, I love them sm:3 I have some of them at home and I really enjoy watching them. They're very communicative with their body language, which is quite interesting to watch. They're a bit shy (the drake doesn't like me:(( ), but the ducklings were happy to sit in my hands (one of them is on the photo). By the way, did you know that Muscovy ducks have the longest incubation period of all duck species?
