Promo / Giveaway (48h) Erudity - Learn anything. Actually anything.

Post image
13 Upvotes

Ever had one of those "huh, I've always wondered how that actually works" moments during the day, and then it just goes nowhere? Ever wish you could replace doomscrolling with learning something fun?

I do. This is why I built Erudity.

Bite-sized facts on anything you can think of. You type in a few words describing what you want to learn, or explore hundreds of ready-made subjects. Seconds later, Erudity turns it into a proper little course: a deck of cards you swipe through, with a Deep Dive behind every card when you want the longer story. No source material to upload, no curriculum to choose, no 40-minute video. Just the thing you were curious about, explained well and actually enjoyable to get through.

What it does:

✅ Create custom decks with just a few words describing what you want to learn ("History of the World Cup", "Why cement is everywhere", "Untranslatable feelings named in other languages")

✅ Explore hundreds of ready-made subjects

✅ Swipeable card decks instead of walls of text

✅ A Deep Dive behind every card for when you want to go deeper

✅ Available in 8 languages: English, Spanish, German, French, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese

Perfect for:

🎓 People who miss learning something just because it is interesting

📱 Anyone trying to swap ten minutes of doomscrolling for something that leaves them with a sense of satisfaction

🧠 The "I have always wondered about..." crowd

🎁 The giveaway (open for the next 48 hours):

3 months of Erudity Premium, free. Full access to the whole app, normally $69.99/year.

To claim one:

  1. Upvote this post so more curious minds can spot it
  2. Comment below with something you've always wondered about but never got around to learning
  3. DM me, and I'll send back your promo code. Starting the chat on your end actually gets the code to you faster, so do not be shy 🦉

To redeem: open the Play Store, tap your profile picture, tap "Payments & subscriptions", then "Redeem code", and paste in the code I send you. Small print: it redeems as a subscription, so if you would rather not keep it after the 3 months, just switch off auto-renew in your Play Store subscriptions and you will never be charged.

📲 Play Store link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.erudity.erudity

I would really love to see what you are all curious about, so do not be shy in the comments. And once you have had a play with it, if it made you smile even once, a rating or even a quick review on the Play Store makes a tiny team's day.

Thanks everyone 🖤

Showcase CatPlayer Video all Format Player + VR Integrated

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aistudio.catplayer.kdwzpq

CatPlayer

On Play Store

Free

No ads ( i placed a wrong x so Google says it has, but it is without Ads )

Does work 100% offline

No tracker or Data collecting, No Account or Login

In short:

\- all Format Video Player with Focus on speed

\- VR Panorama Mode included + Gyro control

\- VR Goggle Mode included + Gyro and Gaze control

\- watch your Camera recordings/memes or movies and also Play your 360 Camera content in the same app

\- gesture control regulate Speed in 5 steps from x0,25 up to x4

Purpose over VLC or MX?

It is a regular videoplayer with similar features and compatibility as those Players. But it reacts and jumps faster in Timeline on my devices i've tested without delays compared to others Players.

Ads have been my biggest Problem, watch a ad while playing a Video? No...

And on my Devices VLC was laggy when i jumped in the Timeline. Which broke my Heart, because VLC is my Windows and Linux alltime favorite.

Important for me: because i watch alot of my own 360 and 180 VR Videos shot with insta360 and dji osmo360

I wanted to have 3D VR Panorama mode and VR goggle mode integrated in the same Video Player instead of having another extra App for VR Content like Var's VR Player.

For 3D Mode the Video files need to be 180 or 360 Material but with one Press on the 2D/3D toggle you can Dive into the Videos including gyro and Gaze Control in goggle mode.

Maybe you do enjoy the App as i do. Thanks for reading all this up to this point.

Greetings 👋

Showcase Spade Launcher: minimalist launcher, zero tracking

Post image
Upvotes

This is my current home screen setup, running Spade Launcher. Clock, the five apps I actually use, as well as the weather widget.

Been building this since April, shaped mostly by feedback from people who actually use it (a lot of it from this corner of Reddit).

Spade Launcher is a minimalist Android launcher built around one idea: opening an app should be a small decision, not a reflex. Everything else gets out of the way.

What it does:

  • No tracking
  • No ads
  • No analytics
  • No accounts
  • The only outbound request is a weather lookup, based on a city you pick yourself, not your location

It's deliberately not for everyone. If you want heavy customization or lots of widgets, there are better launchers and I'd point you to them. But if you've wanted your phone to feel quieter, this is for you.

Get it on Google Play

Happy to answer anything, and feature requests are welcome, that's where most of this came from.

Showcase I created this app called OneLInk Universal Remote

Post image
13 Upvotes

I created this app called OneLink Universal Remote which turns your phone into a powerful Bluetooth remote for PCs (Windows, Mac, Linux, Chromebook), TVs, projectors, and media devices. Unlike traditional Wi-Fi remotes, It uses Bluetooth HID technology. There is no server software to install and no additional hardware required. Your all-in-one control companion includes a full keyboard, a precision trackpad, an air mouse, media controls, and a customizable macro deck. It’s a Swiss Army knife for your digital devices.

Universal Bluetooth Remote

I believe most of you will find it really useful.

Promo / Giveaway Couldn't Find the Right Task App So I Built Tasky

Post image
31 Upvotes

I wanted a task manager that was simple.

No account. No cloud requirement. No subscription pop-ups. No AI trying to manage my life.

Just a clean app that helps me remember things like buying groceries, calling my parents, paying bills, or keeping track of everyday tasks.

After trying countless apps, I realized I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for.

That eventually became Tasky.

My goal wasn't to build another productivity platform. I simply wanted an app that stayed out of the way while still offering the features I actually use every day.

Features:

✓ Works completely offline

✓ No account required

✓ Voice input

✓ Smart reminders

✓ Recurring tasks

✓ Subtasks

✓ Home screen widgets

✓ Material design with beautiful themes

✓ Tablet and landscape support

I'm finally at the point where I'm comfortable sharing it beyond friends and family, and I'd love to hear what other Android users think.

I'm not looking for praise. I'd much rather hear what frustrates you, what feels missing, or what you'd improve. Honest feedback is incredibly valuable at this stage.

As a small thank you, I'll send a Google Play redeem code that unlocks Tasky Premium for life to anyone who provides thoughtful feedback. Just leave a comment or send me a DM after you've tried it.

Google Play:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cleanlabs.tasky

Whether you end up using Tasky or not, I'd still love to know what your ideal Android task manager looks like.

Showcase Mechanly - create personal apps & task!

Hi all! Excited to announce Mechanly - my most ambitious project yet.

Over the years I've built some Android firsts (IJP apps): Energy Ring, the battery indicator that wraps around punch-hole cameras; Access Dots, which brought camera and microphone privacy indicators to Android before they became a native feature; and CoverScreen Apps, along with several experiments pushing what cover screens on Flip phones could do. And now super excited to share with another firsts for Android, a super app - Mechanly!

Mechanly ^ _ ^

Mechanly lets you describe an App you wish existed or a Task you want your phone to handle.

For example:

Check my Gmail Spam folder every few hours. Find messages that may have been caught by mistake and let me move them back to my inbox.

Or,

Every weekday morning, compare my two routes to work. Notify me only when one saves more than ten minutes.

You don’t have to build a flowchart or connect a dozen blocks. Describe the result you want, review the access it needs, and save it.

Mechanly can create two kinds of experiences:

  • Tasks work for you on demand or in the background. They can check something, process information, send a notification, or produce an interactive visual result.
  • Apps give you a custom interface with its own storage, icon, and home-screen shortcut. An App can be a simple personal tool or stay connected to Tasks that keep its information updated.

Why Android-first?

A modern Android phone is already a powerful, always-connected computer that stays with you throughout the day.

However, many agent-style tools still depend on a desktop computer, server, or open browser window.

Mechanly is built around a different idea: your phone itself can be the home for your personal Apps and Tasks.

A Task can run while Mechanly is closed and the screen is off. When it finds something useful, it can notify you or open an interactive result directly on your phone.

You don’t need to leave a PC, Mac, or VPS running just to check a website, prepare a briefing, or watch for something important.

What Mechanly can do

  • Run Tasks in the background Tasks can run on demand or on a schedule, including while Mechanly is closed and your phone’s screen is off.
  • Work inside your logged-in browser Mechanly has a built-in browser. Sign in to a website once, and a Task can later use that same on-phone session. This is useful for information behind a login, especially when the website doesn’t provide a convenient API.
  • Use app connectors Tasks can work with supported services such as Gmail and Google Calendar.
  • Use Android notifications - with permission Mechanly can optionally read your phone’s notifications. This makes experiences such as notification triage and overnight summaries possible.
  • Notify you only when something matters A Task doesn’t have to bother you after every run. It can notify you only when it finds an important email, a delayed delivery, a faster route, a price drop, or another condition you define.
  • Produce interactive visual results A Task can return more than a sentence. Tapping its notification can open a visual briefing, workout, inbox, report, or another custom experience.
  • Create Apps for your home screen A Mechanly App can have its own interface, storage, generated icon, and home-screen shortcut. It can be something small and personal that no developer would normally build as a standalone app.
  • Connect Apps and Tasks An App can display information prepared by background Tasks. For example, a Task could check your orders periodically while an App presents them as a delivery and spending dashboard.
  • Share and import creations Apps and Tasks can be shared through an import link. The person importing one can review the required access and connect their own accounts.

I am sharing few Tasks and Apps that I created on Mechanly for your inspiration below, but it's practically limitless, super excited to hear what you guys come up with or any unique use cases that you would like me to support!

Try Mechanly

Mechanly is currently free during Alpha, please let me know more use cases, and your nitpicks

Download Mechanly from Google Play

What is one repetitive thing you keep opening an app or website to check? And what small, oddly specific App do you wish existed just for you?

Showcase Diktafon — voice memos with offline transcriptions

Post image
10 Upvotes

Hi, sharing my app.

Diktafon is a voice recorder built around cassettes: each topic gets its own tape, memos land at its end, and the cassette plays as one continuous recording. Every memo is transcribed, every cassette summarised and titled; tap a word in the transcript and playback jumps there. Everything runs offline on the device (Whisper + a small LLM) — no account, no cloud, no analytics, no ads. Free and open source (MIT): https://github.com/jaromiru/diktafon

I built it because nothing quite fit how I use voice notes. Apps like WalkWrite or Notely Voice turn speech into text notes; here the recordings stay the main thing, with the text attached.

Honest caveats: models are downloaded once on first run (Wi-Fi recommended) and 4 GB RAM is recommended for the defaults. Quality is what on-device Whisper gives you — solid, not magic.

Fun fact: despite being a long-time programmer, I mostly vibe-coded it with Claude as an experiment — and it did as I expected: very well.

I use it daily and figured others might want it too. I'll be glad for any feedback!

Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=cz.mod42.diktafon (also on the App Store, and APKs on GitHub releases)

Hey everyone

I just published my first game as a solo dev: Shikaku - Minimalist Game.

If you haven't played Shikaku before, it's a grid puzzle where you divide a board into rectangles so each shape contains one number matching its total area.

I wanted to make a clean, distraction-free version without ads in your face or unnecessary clutter.

Since this is my first release, I'd really appreciate any feedback. If you run into bugs, have feature suggestions, or notice anything that feels off, please let me know in the comments or via PM.

  • Whisper transcription for faster, more accurate episode transcripts
  • Localized to 12 languages
  • Accessibility improvements
  • UI improvements and bug fixes

Worth noting: Android is still catching up to iOS on a couple of features due to longer app review turnaround times, but we're actively closing that gap.

Showcase I built a notes app that talks back

Hey everyone, I built an Android notes app called ZUKA and I’d love feedback from people who enjoy testing new apps.

The idea came from a simple frustration:

Most notes apps let you write something down, but when you come back later, the note is still just sitting there like a tiny abandoned document.

Useful? Maybe.

Alive? Absolutely not.

ZUKA turns notes into threads.

You can:

  • Reply to your own notes
  • React to thoughts
  • Label important entries
  • Branch ideas into new threads
  • Merge related thoughts when they overlap

It feels a bit like messaging your past self, except hopefully with fewer embarrassing 2 AM thoughts.

Open Play store Link

If you try it, I’d really appreciate feedback on the first impression, the concept, and what would make it more useful.

Showcase Peerly – A Free Offline Messenger Using Bluetooth

Post image
10 Upvotes

Peerly is a free, ad-free offline messenger that works without mobile data or internet access. It uses Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Direct to connect nearby Android devices directly, making it useful at festivals, in remote areas, crowded venues, or during network outages. No account, phone number, or central server is required. I know there are already a few apps with a similar idea, but this type of communication is still not widely used. I think it is worth giving Peerly a try and seeing how useful offline messaging can be in real situations.

App Name: Arkan (أركان)

What it does: Arkan is a daily habit app built around 4 pillars — Health, Growth, Mind, and Soul — designed to replace mindless phone scrolling with intentional daily actions. The Soul pillar (athkar + Quran listening with streaks) is the core experience, built to give consistency the same "don't break the streak" pull that apps like Duolingo give language learning.

Key Features:

  • Daily athkar (morning/evening) and Quran listening with streak tracking
  • Broader 4-pillar structure (Health, Growth, Mind, Soul) for a fuller daily routine
  • Built with Flutter, designed to feel lightweight and fast to open

Showcase LINEFLIP - a one-touch arcade game - free

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone!

I recently released my first Android game, LINEFLIP, and I'd love to share it here and hear what you think.

The app is 100% ad free and you can play it offline.

The concept is simple:

  • Tap to switch between the top and bottom of the track.
  • Avoid incoming obstacles.
  • Survive as long as you can and beat your high score.

I wanted to create something that's easy to pick up in a few seconds but still takes practice to master. The game focuses on quick reactions, simple controls, and that "one more try" feeling.

Some features:

  • One-touch gameplay
  • Endless arcade mode
  • Race mode
  • Different environments with unique gameplay elements (I'm currently expanding these with more content)

This is my first published Android game, so I'm especially interested in honest feedback. Whether it's about the controls, difficulty, visuals, performance, or anything else, I'd really appreciate hearing your thoughts.

Google Play:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=biz.thirdart.flipline

Thanks for checking it out, and I'm happy to answer any questions about the development process!

Showcase Candor — describe a hard conversation, get 3 ready

Post image
2 Upvotes

What it does: You describe a conversation you're dreading — telling someone no, asking a friend to pay you back, a boundary with family, something awkward at work — and Candor writes three ready-to-send versions of the message:

  • 🫶 Warm — kind and gentle
  • 🎯 Direct — clear and neutral
  • 🧱 Firm — a hard line, still respectful
  • 💵 Free Trial — Use it for 7 days without having to pay for it

Pick the one that sounds like you, tweak it, send it.

Key features:

  • 6 categories: Saying No, Conflict, Money, Workplace, Relationships, Family
  • Two input modes — Quick (free-text) or Guided (a few questions)
  • 7 wallpaper themes, light + AMOLED dark mode
  • No account, no sign-up — nothing stored on a server
  • Native Kotlin + Jetpack Compose; AI runs through my own backend proxy (no keys in the app)

Why I built it: I'm the person who rewrites a text fifteen times before sending it — or never sends it. I wanted something that just hands me the words. This is my first app, self-taught, built solo over the last 7 months. Went live on Google Play last week.

Feedback I'm looking for: Does the tone of the three variations feel right? Is the Guided flow worth it or would you only use Quick? Anything in the UI that felt clunky?

Promo / Giveaway App that automatically records your drives

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I've always wished Google Maps had a timeline that simply showed every drive I actually took.

Not the route it suggested.

The route I ended up driving.

So over the past few months I built DriveTrack.

It works by pairing with your car's Bluetooth once. After that, whenever your phone connects to your car, it automatically starts recording the trip, and stops when you disconnect. No buttons to press.

Some things it tracks:

• Full GPS route

• Distance, duration and average/max speed

• Moving vs stopped time

• Elevation changes

• Weekly, monthly and lifetime stats

• Favourite routes

• All data stays on your device

I originally built it just for myself because I enjoy driving and wanted a history of everywhere I'd been. It ended up becoming something other people found useful too.

I'd genuinely love to hear what features you'd want in an app like this or any feedback on the idea.

Beta / Testing CheatCode Launcher - Free beta

Hey everyone!

I've been building an Android launcher that replaces icons with "cheat code" gestures, and I'm looking for beta testers.

CheatCode Launcher is built around using combinations of gestures (up, down, left, right, tap) to create "cheat codes" that open apps, run shortcuts, tasker tasks, and pretty much anything else. The design direction is extreme minimalism with maximum speed. The more you use it, the more muscle memory you build.

Some key features:

  • Assign gesture codes to open apps, shortcuts, run tasker tasks, control media and more
  • After shortcuts: assign linked actions to a specific app that show up for a short time when you close it. For example, when closing the Camera app, you can have links appear for: Google Photos, Instagram, Lightroom, or whatever other apps or actions you want to appear.
  • Highly customizable theming that can be saved, shared and imported.
  • Auto-theme switching: Have the look and feel change based on what's happening on your device. Set a custom theme for specific days, dates, notifications, media playing, etc.

Most features are free with generous limits. Premium features are available, but anyone who provides constructive beta feedback is welcome to a lifetime promo code.

What I'm looking for:

  • Different Android devices (especially OnePlus, Xiaomi, Motorola, tablets, and foldables)
  • Feedback on usability
  • Bugs and performance issues
  • Feature suggestions

To test:

  1. Join the following group: https://groups.google.com/g/cheatcode-launcher-beta
  2. Become a tester: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.pantsninja.cheatcodelauncher

https://reddit.com/link/1v3i4e2/video/msy9vp8dmseh1/player

Thanks for taking a look! I'd really appreciate any feedback.

Showcase Step-challenge app where quitters fund winers

Hey all — built an Android app called WalkOrLose. You join a step challenge, put down a small entry commitment, and whoever actually hits their daily goals through the challenge splits the pot funded by the people who didn't finish. Right now the welcome challenge has a €100 pool split between everyone who completes it — good way to try it risk-free-ish since finishing gets you a share instead of just your money back. Built with Health Connect for step tracking and some anti-cheat checks so GPS-spoofers/bots can't game it. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.walkorlose.app Happy to answer questions about how the tracking/verification works.

Promo / Giveaway AR DrawKit - Trace & Sketch - Freemium

Post image
1 Upvotes

App Name: AR DrawKit

Every AR Drawing app has a premium gate for most resources, too many ads, or the price is too high. So, I built my own. Very few ads and a very low-priced plan with premium features that most of the apps are missing.

Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=xyz.devnerd.ardrawingkit

How it Works:

  1. Pick an image from the app / Gallery / Browse from the internet
  2. Select how you want to draw (with camera or on screen)
  3. Complete your drawing
  4. If you are new, my app has over 200 step-by-step guided drawings.

Exclusive features:

Art Wall - for sharing your drawing

Community Drawing - People can share art for others to draw

P.S: I am constantly updating the app as my wife is using it daily to draw. As I have a real user in my home, so the features are and will be user-friendly.

If you want to try or want to share it with someone, please comment; I'll share a promo code with you.

I’m a dad, and like a lot of parents, I ended up with piles of drawings and school artwork that I didn’t want to throw away.

So I built Kid Art Museum — an Android app that lets parents save, frame, organize, and turn their children’s artwork into a digital museum and art book.

I’d really appreciate any honest feedback, especially from parents, teachers, or anyone who deals with lots of kids’ artwork.

Google Play:

I’m also happy to give a few lifetime Pro promo codes to people who genuinely want to test it.

Promo / Giveaway Spotify alternative focused on background playback

Post image
2 Upvotes

I love listening to music, but I wanted a simpler experience:
• Background playback without interruptions
• Synced lyrics while listening
• Music videos and audio in one place
• A lightweight Android experience

So I built SimpMusic.

I’m sharing it here because I’d love feedback from people who care about music apps:

  • What features do you wish your music player had?
  • What annoys you about existing music apps?
  • What would make you switch?

Always looking for ways to make it better.
