Sooo it’s day 17 and I’m exploring my world after finding two set pieces. On my way back I saw these things. What is this? Is there anything I have to do with this?

Also follow up questions: Do I absolutely HAVE TO lower my sanity to start fighting the shadow creatures for nightmare fuel? Do I suffer any more negative effects besides seeing hallucinations from low sanity? Finally, am I well equipped to take on said hallucinations?

Long time no posting here. I posted long time ago about Witril, a character I was making with a friend. Time passed and things in between, but now it's ready and available to download for everyone.

Witril is an alchemist, mostly making things for himself, but sometimes he can collaborate and help.

He brings constant new items, lots of useful ones, like the Slow Blood Tonic, a healing potion that will heal you 50 in an instant and 30 more in the next minute, but it all comes at a cost — not only the crafting materials, also your sanity!

There's also one of my fav items, the Umbral Stones. You craft them in pairs: one is left as an anchor, and whenever and wherever you want, you use the other one — it instantly teleports you to the anchor location. Useful in large worlds to go explore and come back to base in an instant.

Along with those items, it comes with 4 different new food crafts, not the most delicious ones, but they sure have some vitamins (I think).

And of course, the Blue Light, a new lantern created by the one and only Witril. It emits blue light, as the name suggests, and has a sanity aura. It only accepts monster oil as fuel, so you might want to have some on you if the Blue Light is your only lantern at night!Ç

Preserved Rancid Souls was deleted from the mod since it used souls from wortox and we were not quite convinced on the effects from this food.

I love Don't Starve (Alone) and especially Shipwreck. I know that Klei has plans only for the Together, but yesterday happened something that gives me hope. Darkest Dungeon announced a new expansion for a title that had 6 years to get something because Red Hook released DD2. I'm a big fun of Don't Starve and never felt a real connection with Together as much I tried. I have to say the game is pretty crazy from content perspective, but for me Don't Starve is a total alone experience where you have to find your own way to a strange world. I put those words here with my hopes that Klei will find a way to revive the title and give us new adventures, mechanics and heroes. They have tons of new content from Together, so they can do some magic and create something new and even buget friendly for them. I believe there are many players like me that would love to invest on the classic title and get a new DLC.

I just wanted to ask if anyone has had bugs with the game so far.
Here’s my experience:

1. Caves didn’t work with my first world, it would prompt me to choose a new character and spawn at the portal (in the same world) every time I went down. I tried disconnecting, selecting a new character, rolling back, nothing works. I just couldn’t get into the caves.
2. I tried cloud saves with iCloud. The saves transfer, but not the Insight points. This is a bad one, because not only do I not have insight on a 2nd device, but going back to the first device resets the invested insight. Meaning I must reallocate points every time I switch devices, making using multiple devices a no-go.
3. I started a second save on my Phone this morning, rushed caves and I could finally go in. But I’ve noticed the day was reset to the beginning of day 1. Going outside reset the clock to the middle of day 1. The time in the caves is not synced with the outside world.
4. For some reason on my second save skins just don’t work. I craft with Skins but the items are default. This also applies to buildings, the Science machine I crafted was also default. Skins work fine on my first world so I don’t know what happened.

In case it matters I play primarily on an iPad air M2 and as a second device I use an iPhone 17 pro max. Performance is not an issue, game runs great at 60 FPS. But these little bugs make it less enjoyable.

Please let me know if you’ve also encountered bugs and if you managed to fix them somehow.

Edit: Restarting the server made skins work again, but I've also noticed that my character itself is skinless now.

From what I can tell, going into caves not only is it not synced with overworld time, but also not synced with overworld skins. And coming out of the cave resets skins.

Is it referring to skins, skill trees, or what? Can I import my data from steam to the mobile version?

My first time defeating DragonFly, in the fastest way I could. Wolfgang's damage multiplier + Electric damage + Wet enemy (I think this was applied, I'm not sure since it wasn't raining constantly).

Honestly, it's so satisfying to melt the bosses and kill them so quickly like that.

how should i set up my world

I think that giving Warly means to better gain resources from volt goats would solve two gameplay issues with himself and in general.

The first issue is that dairy products can be used to make some pretty good food items (including one of Warly's), but they are all so incredibly unreliable to get that them isn't worth going out of your way to get them, especially butter.

Well I think that it would be fitting for a chef to know how to obtain milk from goats without killing them, and also it would make sense for him to know how to transform said milk into butter.

The second issue is that the ingredient to make his strongest dish (Volt Goat Chaud-Froid) is also an unreliable item gotten from volt goats. By having him sort of domesticate the herd maybe they could have him harvest their horns without killing them (and have them regrow in spring or something).

I think making Warly able to get rare items reliably would be the sort of buff that would make him strong without power creep and would be fitting for his character. What do you think?

Hi everyone! I am a big modder and would love to hear about some of yalls favorite niche mods so I can try them out. I have the basics, like geometric placement, insight, I have a few furniture and decor mods, but I wanna hear about the ones you love and would not expect the general public to have.

I’m playing with ipad m4 and the game looks good so far Unlike the don’t starve and shipwrecked pocket edition, this game feels a lot smoother no bugs so far. Cooking is kinda bad bc you need to pick the food from the ice box to the inventory in order to put them in the crock pot. Organising your inventory is kinda hard even when you hover ur finger on the item to drag it and it is not as easy as you think i had to pause and organise it. The ui in general is great ngl. And yeah im copying the jakey’s mini base that is really old

Alright, so after watching some guides on the game after dying on day 4 or earlier to something silly (tallbirds, starvation, darkness, etc.) I have successfully made it to Day 11 and killed the one hound that came for me after this picture was taken with my first permanent base. I made it next to an oasis with some tallbirds and plenty of rocks to boot and I’m doing pretty well at managing food, items, and other resources. I just made an Icebox after a VERY lucky break against the clockwork enemies (the rhino one killed another enemy while charging at me, allowing me to quickly snatch the gears and run)

I haven’t kited the clockwork enemies yet, and almost died trying to get resources from the biome.

Opening the game makes it say that the program is damaged and has to be deleted. Reinstalling does nothing, it’s still unplayable. Anyone found a way to play or do we just wait for a miracle from klei?

Seriously, there is a concerning big part of players whose devices are not supported by dst pocket edition. I don't even have the worst phone. What do you mean I can freely play genshin impact with medium graphics but can't play 2.5d game? I don't even mad that specifically my phone doesn't support it (still sad about it, though), Im concerned that there is nowhere officially written what devices it DOES support and what are requirements for it.

Hey guys, I’ve had some trouble linking my Steam account to the mobile DST port for iOS, but I found the fix and I want to share it with you.

Step 1: when logging in, it asks to verify your mobile account. The game automatically creates an iOS (android?) Klei account when first logging in. Verify the account, this is mandatory before being able to link a Steam/PSN etc account.

Linking steps

Step 2: uninstall the Steam app. Sadly the linking doesn’t work through the Steam app, only the browser. This makes things complicated if you use Steam Guard for login. Ideally you have a second device where you can temporarily transfer the Steam Guard Authenticator.

Step 3: after linking the account restart the DST app and enjoy your skins!
