Decided to start Deathwatch for 11th edition, and finished up a test model for Decimus. Happy how it turned out

Painted my blackstar over my weekend. It’s my 12th model ever and my very first vehicle andI’m so happy with how it turned out. Was such a fun experience. Want wait to cork up a sweet base for it

Starting to build a Deathwatch Terminator squad. If the Kill Team squad can have a zenophage blade, I thought a chaos sword like Logan’s chaos axe might look cool. I’ll be swapping their left pauldrons for Deathwatch ones, but they haven’t arrived yet.

Took me a couple months (weekend painter) but I’m stoked with it got to use the other half of my fiancées demon prince

I had alot of success with the 10 terminator brick in prioriy assets and could definetly see it being disruptive in a purge list. Drop it in the central objective and just ruin gameplans.

Worried that it costs too much though. Haven't played purge yet, whats everyone's thoughts on this?

I recently fnished this book, and let me tell you, it may not be perfect but it really made me love deathwatch and the inquisition all over again.

I love all of the intrigue and questions asked by everyone involved, the underlying unease of the space marines showing they are more compared to "We pewpew cause yea". Plus it did go into a bit of how differing space marines from different chapters will interact with each other, a BT chaplain no less working with a BA psyker for decades? unthinkable EXCEPT in the deathwatch.

Idk I got a bit all over the place in this post, but I just really enjoyed it and was surprised overall.

has anyone else read the book? I have the second and will be cracking it open soon and if anyone has other recommendations for deathwatch books please share :D

Hey all. As I am in the middle of stripping and repainting my Ultramarines into Deathwatch, I had a thought. It's such a hassle to print DW pauldrons to attach because you have to cut down the existing pauldrons. Is there a decal out there that would emulate the sculpted writing? You could just put that on the existing pauldrons and maybe 3D print the central symbol or something.

I may not be explaining myself well here but it sure seems like something that should exist.

Is there a concensus from GW on using Balck Spear at 1000pts yet?

With purge the foes back on the menu and we don't have to worry about priority asset anymore what is the go to 2k army build now!

My first space marine I’ve painted. I think I used to a few too many different metallic paint colors.
