This is my setup for the upcoming vacations:

• Crave is used mainly for sequences and basses and the occasional drone/noise
  • is then feed trough the Klowra Everlast Delay for rytmic delay and tape madness
  • and then goes into the Eventide Space, usually set up as a huge, dark reverb with added shimmer
• The Evil Pet is my main texture generator, using recorded samples either played as a soundscape or pitched as pads
• MC707 is my main sequencer and mixer and it provides drum duties and all the other sounds needed
• I use two keystep to operate on multiple MIDI channels (and thus different sounds) at the same time while maintaining a compact and portable format, the Mk2 is mainly for sequences and arpeggiators (thanks to its great Mutate function), while the Mk1 works as a simple controller

Sony MDR7506 headphones, and if i need to record I can just use the build in interface on the MC707

I mainly play ambient-esque Berlin School and synthwave stuff

I got the sidekick a month ago and love using it with my picoTrackers, a really nice tiny little battery powered setup. In the pic I have the blue pico running the DX7 alternate firmware being sequenced via Midi by the red pico on the left running the standard tracker firmware both going through the Sidekick for mixing and its cool effects.

Hey that’s the machines i got over the past years - am curious how they work together - and what Kind of music comes out of it.. now I guess I ask ai on how to properly set it up 🫡

I've been redoing my setup. I had all my gear on my desk and something I always knew became way more apparent - this setup would be so clean if the damn cable heads didn't stick out so far. I'm putting together an order with a bunch of cables with 90 degree bent heads to try to get around that (mostly 1/4 inch, midi, and a couple USBs maybe). Before I do that though, I wanna check if anybody else has figured out good ways to keep the cable bloat down? Or recommendations for specific brands or types of cables that prioritize being low profile (I'm not touring or anything!) Just looking for general advice or hacks or whatever! Thank you!

I’m playing at a festival in newhaven (near Brighton) on Saturday called ‘Port of Cool ‘ and here’s a track I’ve been rehearsing .
Patch notes
Bartender mixer is being used which allows 4 stereo voices .
2x send and return tracks are being used .
1st send and return is going to Eventide space. 2nd is going to Qu but nautilus (complex delay)
One of the keys is about how much send and return is being used on each channel, im deliberately avoiding using any effects on pwrcussion channel .
Channel 1 is drums and percussion , using noise plethora for 2 channels of hi hat/ snare type sounds , basimilus iteritas and befaco kivk.
Channel 2 is for samples and vocals coming via Qu bit stardust , I’m also using an external mic for some of the spoken word.
Channel 3 is mainly for rings which is going through sisters and Dpo (fuzzy bass) going through optomix , they are both being sequenced by marbles .
Channel 4 is plinky into Qu bit prism which can play live or record and sequence on the fly .
There are also quite a few envelopes and lfos modulating various parameters (tides, ochd, maths ) and also some drum sequencing via varigate.
