if you watch scrubs on Hulu they seemed to retain the rights to ~80% of the music so mostly everything is great and feels familiar but then randomly some scene you know like the back of your hand has the wrong music and its the worst. its definitely a better situation than daria where *every* scene has the wrong music, but its still pretty jarring.

What I like the most:
- Jake looking like a true British gentleman;
- Mr DeMartino giving off some Tony Montana vibes;
- Brittany cosplaying Jimmy Neutron's mom.
Despite all the goofiness of their looks, these sketches give me warm nostalgic vibes. What do you think of those?

96'er here and I got the urge to watch Daria for some reason. I found a stream with the licensed music intact and I understand why losing that music was such a loss to the show. Daria to me is show that could've only existed when it was written for a world that no longer exists. Hearing "Music Sounds Better With You" at a prom or hearing Quinn listen to "Lovefool" by the Cardigans and Trent listening to Alice in Chains makes the characters feel more alive? and gives them a little more characterization.

As someone that lives in controlled chaos and being not messy, per se, but not supreme organization... Jane and Trent's bedrooms always made sense to me. However, I fall short of having food anywhere. Otherwise, their personalities, the way they present themselves, the way they are both artistic and at least try to not care what anyone thinks... it all was things that went hand-in-hand with how they kept their personal spaces.
Many people I have talked to said that it was a bit stereotypical and cliché (maybe even tropy), but honestly whether it was or not, it was definitely on brand for them both.

Quinn & Sandi drawn around the same time as my Daria & Quinn. I love the fashion club so much!! I will draw all of them together EVENTUALLY
What are some of your favorite quotes/phrases from other characters in the show that stay stuck in your head for no reason?
These are some of mine.
Rock & Roll Randy: "I'm not a man, dude, I'm a rocker!"
Quinn: "You just hide in your room like a kermit!"
Guy Fawkes Day: "You mean those colonial wankers are in charge?!"
Tiffany: "Stacy, days have names, not numbers."
Brittany: "There really is a school spirit! Spooky"
Tad: "I saw a windmill in the toy store window so I went to look, because they're such a clean source of energy"
Brittany: "Zippity do da, zippity ay, make Tommy's spirit go far, far away."
And this Kevin and Jane interaction:
Kevin: (whispers) "Daria! That's a chick movie!"
Jane: (whispers) "Pst! Kevin, Brittany's..." (louder) "...a chick!"

I remember a Daria marathon on MTV where actress Janine Garofalo was hosting. And that was when the rumors started. So does anyone know if she was or wasn't the voice of Daria?

I am super late to finding this collab which is entirely sold out and nearly impossible to find any pieces that are decently priced as Resell culture sucks … I’m trying to find some pieces of this collab in a size XXS,XS-S if anyone has any and don’t wear them and is kind enough/ willing to sell please dm or lmk.
I understand Daria is retro and she is very loved , I
just don’t want to pay double the price for something when it’s just unnecessary. Specially for clothing items🙂 . The blanket is amazing tho😩
I am aware of the backlash this company has received but considering I am trying to obtain these pieces second hand I would appreciate if any negative comments are just not given :) as this post isn’t for hateful comments. Thanks

whhhhy
edit: I didn’t realize there was a 5-6 year age gap. I thought it was 2 years or 3 years max.

As an autistic person, I've always loved her cynical and dry humor. I feel like it sits with me. Like I empathize with her on some level.

There I said. I don’t need to elaborate. It just sums up the whole show at its best if you want to introduce someone to Daria.

I was watching the show the other day (I own it on DVD) and couldn't help but think about what a "Daria" movie would look like. I'm thinking of both a 2 and 3D art design format similar to that of *The Iron Giant* or *The Simpsons* movie from 2007. The character design is the same as the original show with no change; just adopted for 3D visuals. I also wanted to give Lawndale a more sleek and sophisticated look, including its own water tower and the town's name displayed a la the Hollywood sign- similar to that of Springfield from the aforementioned *The Simpsons.* As well as realistic traffic signals and street signs of the time. Basically, making Lawndale somewhat like an actual town in Maryland. Since the town is believed to be in Maryland, I want to express that in the art as well. For any in this community from Maryland, I'm sure you can give me some helpful pointers on design. On an aesthetic level, I want to ground the movie in its classic 90's environment. Hell, the opening zoom in passes the Space Shuttle -*Mir* Space Station in Earth orbit combined with news and radio broadcasts from the era before we zoom into Lawndale and then finally ending with a shot of Daria in bed. I also want to play with the idea of Daria and Jane talking over the computer via the early Internet. After their conversation, Daria signs off AOL with that iconic "dial-up" signal tone.
These are just a few of my suggestions. I don't know if there is a dedicated *Daria* community on Reddit where I can be better helped. I would like to hear everyone's suggestions. Thank you.
