Not sure if anyone else has posted this or noticed this but the beginning and ending sounds are very similar to the reveal trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. In fact if you play animal surgery and the reveal trailer at the same time, it lines up in quite a remarkable way.

This post is so long overdue from me but I wanted to share some gems I've captured throughout the years of loving this band. I discovered them back when DBMI came out but I was too young and broke to see them live until ~2015, I think it was the tour for Instant Gratification.

Despite the lineup changes and drama, this band has always had a special place in my heart. Their albums carried me through so many life changes and the energy of their shows are always unmatched. I've seen them not at their best and still always loved being in a crowd scream singing about a can of broccoli. I've seen them all across the US, in England and hopefully in Australia later on this year. I'm an avid collector of their merch and vinyl and have been super fortunate to have met them a handful of times! Been blessed by this mess more times than I can count on both hands 🙏

Does anyone know what's going on with the opener? Obviously it was initially special guest TBA, which was then announced as Dwellings, but DGD are now posting a version that says special guest TBA again, and have on multiple posts. Have Dwellings dropped off or something? I believe the announcement is still posted on Dwellings' page so I am wondering if its just a mistake from whoever runs DGD social media or what and if i missed anything.

Love this band, since… forever ago.

But I remember during afterburner and jackpot juicer that I was starting to get bored with the band. They started sounding the same.

One of the reasons I’ve followed Dance Gavin Dance for so long IS because of the vocalist line up changes.

Each singer brought a new sound, new lyrics, and new style

They really became the band that never stops giving

Andrew is a great vocalist but I won’t lie when I say I hope, someday, they change vocalists again

I gotta admit I’m at a loss for what Jon means in Bloodsucker when he says “I’m in a stats class smoking backpack pie chart.” Maybe it’s one of those lyrics that isn’t supposed to have a lot of meaning, but if it does mean anything it seems like it would be an interesting spectacle 🤷🏻‍♀️

There is a lot of great strawberry songs but how do i listen to them in order?

The belts sound near identical to Jonnys,, although he has the emo voice of Kurt. The first belt really tripped me out, i thought there was a band Jonny was in that I didn't know about

Strange deep cut for me but Swallowed by Eternity saved my life after listening for like 15 years.

The feeling of pointless despair from your addictions or shortcomings. The questioning if there’s a redemption arc. The return from the grave. “I don’t give a fuck, you can’t stop me now”.

Assuming we wouldn't be backtracking with craig or kurt, i would've like to see Kellin Quinn have a go. It would be interesting to see how they'd work around his voice.

I feel like this post will make more sense to the people in this sub than r/starfox. With the "new" Star Fox game being release a few weeks ago, I was reminded of this part in the second stage, Meteo. It's the asteroid level where Peppy famously says, "Be careful, it's a trap!"

Towards the end of Meteo, there are a series of warp gates you can go through which make you go faster and faster. It gets pretty chaotic trying to steer because you are going so fast but once you hit the last one, you enter this type of wormhole and everything slows down. It's oddly calm but with strong psychedelic overtones. Reality has stopped making sense. The enemies are moving in synchronized geometric patterns, there's rainbows all over the place, asteroids are radiating weird lights like disco balls.

I'm reminded of this level every time I listen to Blue Dream. Specifically the part at 2:30 when the tempo starts increasing and the instruments get more chaotic, before finally transitioning to this funky interlude that's completely different from everything else in the song so far.
