Teller insight
I was at a bank yesterday, picking up some coin rolls and the teller said she had additional rolls that she couldn’t sell because they had customers name and phone numbers. She said it was a shame too, because they have to pay to send them out to the feds.
I offered to save them money and purchase just the coins if they were willing to dump the coins into a bag instead of handing me the whole roll with the wrapper. That way they could discard the customers rappers while I take the coins and they save the money. Everybody wins.
She checked with the manager and they approved.
I asked how we could be helpful in our relationship as coin roll hunters and she said having some sort of schedule or calling ahead to let them know what we’re looking for would be helpful to the bank. That they can then set aside these roles that they would normally have to pay to ship out to the feds for us if we’re willing to accept them in nontraditional methods, like dumping the coins out.
Anyway, I imagine this is advice that would only be helpful to people who frequent their Bank enough to be known by the tellers. Be good.
