Was pleasantly surprised to find it was a sealed, mint fresh tube! Now the real question… Do I crack it open?

What a mail day!!

Feeling the pain today. Ordered Two Tubes on Silver Eagles on the dip from Liberty Coin on eBay. Package came via FedEx Signature required and was supposed to be delivered 2 days ago Monday. I work from home and I was a little excited to add to my stack since I haven't bought silver since the price went over $70.

Monday morning I get a text notification that my package is out for delivery. Monday afternoon while sitting at my computer literally 15 ft from the door, I get another text stating my package had been delivered. Obviously, I was confused as hell as no one had knocked on my door. I opened the door to see if the package was left there......nada. I went to my mailbox just in case......nada. I called FedEx literally within 10 minutes of getting the notification and was told I had to open a case and wait for 48 hours to get a response.

I called back the next day, of course, and got the same response. I called back this afternoon and was told FedEx tried to contact me but had the wrong email address (after giving it to them and spelling it out for them). Contacted seller and was told they received an email with a picture of a "signature". The "signature" was in manuscript (which I don't do) and only showed my last name (which is a common last name) which I also never do. I always sign in cursive and take up most of the space with my 1st name and scribble my last name. Had to open a case with the eBay gods and leave it up to them as to whether I get a refund or not..........hoping I'm not out $2446 with no silver to boot! 🤔

They are definitely the most beautiful of all in my small box. Def will buy more.

Also I have a question, is it normal to have some barely seen spots on coins? Like some of them are not fully shiny and I see some dirt like spots(you can see this on philharmonia coin)

**I am not looking for offers, just advice**

I have 4+ kilos of sterling from an estate. I am an auctioneer by trade and a big fan of old things in general, so it kills me to melt these sterling sets down for scrap. I have been trying to sell this well under spot for a month, I am not getting any offers even asking for 80%. Is it hopeless to hold out for a buyer above that price point? I know the refinery will give me 85% but I would take a little less to see it survive.

For my youngest son's upcoming birthday. He really loves my "coins," and he wanted a shark or a dragon one. I think he's gonna dig how unique it is. I like the dragon blacked out. Next step-I guess we get to find him a pirate chest to put it in.

Found today in Rockford, Michigan. I had to leave five (5) c-series 10oz bars behind, for lack of fiat shittickets upon my personage.

I won’t be back in the near term, so some other lucky duck has them soon, if not already. I am grateful for my slice 🙏

If you had to start a silver collection with just Johnson Matthey or just Engelhard, which would you pick and why?

Added a few upgrades from yesterday. Cleaned the wood up a bit and added some profiles for the edges. Also added a base made of some iridescent labradorite that I’d had leftover from work. Whatta you guys think? Here’s a video so you can see the iridescence of the labradorite.

..feels less good when the price of silver goes down in the interim. At least it's not down too drastically since I put in my order. TBF I may just be kind of dumb, it really didn't even occur to me at the time that this it was like, 50% likely to happen this way. Oh well, two more ounces for the hoard!

From Monument Metals. I thought that I would get several different designs. And got a Whatnot-vendor slabbed Maple? Not mad at it.

I think I am in love with this coin, got multiple opportunities to buy a libertad in the past but never went for it. I was at a coin show and saw this beauty, to my surprise the value of Mexican Libertad coins has appreciated a lot, is that so?

What would the value of something like this be? I paid around $180 CAD or $128 USD. Google tells me this is limited to 4,000 pieces and the value could really high.
