Contortion Catfish?

I am wondering if people on this subreddit have stories of being catfished online by people posing to be contortionists, or flexible people? This seems to be a trend in the world of online anonymity and I'm curious to see who else has experienced this in online forums.

I know some degree of neck flexibility is an important part of being a contortionist.

contortion consultation on budget

heyy, im someone very naturally flexible and because of that i’ve been doing contortion since i was a kid. now i’m an aerial hoop artist but i still don’t feel very confident in my contortion technique as i’ve never had classes. i’m really scared of injuries so i’m looking for an online teacher who could answer some questions and concerns :) not as a training plan or course but more of a consultant (all the options i found were a bit too expensive)

Couple pictures of me doing splits

My splits are descent but my back is stiff. I've tried and trained for many years but my back and shoulder are just too stiff to bend.

can anyone give me solid stretches for back flexibility for a chest stand? i’m able to touch my head with my feet in a bow pose and can do an elbow backbend easily. i can also touch my head with my feed in a wall boat

One of the shapes I did the other day in my training, I love this one but I need to work more on my balance so I can hold it long enough to put into an act.

My lower back hurts when I do camel pose.

When I do regular back bend it’s not painful, prob cuz I can use my feet and engage my butt and tilt pelvis right way to protect my back. But when I do ā€œcamel poseā€ it’s hurting. What exercises can I do to fix that?

Standing Entry

Random but the best thing I have found for chest stands/elbow stands is just getting into it from a standing/bridge position, really forces you into a deeper stretch vs rocking into it from your chest or knees IMO , side note glad to find my people here 🄹

I have a project due in a month for genius hour about contortion. Any tips for research? It's about safe ways of getting flexible without injuring yourself badly or rushing from an intermediate level.

The microbend in my knee is setting me off, I thought it was straight but I guess I got more to work on.
