My laptop started making this noise after I dropped it. It only happens when the fan is at full speed.
I want to test it with the bottom cover off because the drop bent the cover a little, so I'm not sure if the noise is from the cover rubbing the fan or the fan itself. I want to confirm before buying any parts.
How can I force the fan to run at full speed, and is it safe to power it on with the bottom cover removed? A tutorial or video would be appreciated.

Hi there. My computer turned off on its own recently. When I tried to turn it back on, one of the case fans (on the side of the computer with all of the ports) whirred for a moment, and then there was a click sound that reminded me of a lightbulb going out. I’m not sure what to try since I don’t want to break anything. Its a Cyberpower PC model C series ET8140-17485.
It happened the night after I downloaded some hefty Minecraft mod packs. I didn’t run into any issues while using the mods though, so I’m not sure if it’s related.
I have added parts that aren’t from the base build but I’m not very computer savvy so I don’t know exactly what they all are (I had it worked on as a Christmas present). If it can help solve the issue though I will try to figure out what each of them are.

Hello, My son and I are building a PC and ran into a problem. The build itself went with no problems. All fans and rgb turn on, but nothing on the monitor. I have spent days working on this and could use some suggestions.
The individual components are: B650E Max Gaming Motherboard, AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, GeForce RTX 5070, Century II Gold 850 power supply, and a Thermalright cooler. Along with 2 - Seagate BarraCuda 2TB Internal HDD and a WD Black 1TB SSD, and a 500 GB WD Black SSD.
What I have done already based on google searches and YouTube videos:
-Changed monitors
-Reseated Ram multiple times
-Reseated graphics card multiple times
-Reseated CPU 1 time
-Reseated SSD
-Removed HDD and no change on start up
-Checked all connections on the power supply multiple times
-Removed and replaced the battery for BIOS
-Switched graphics card cable
-Connected monitor directly to the motherboard and received a message that I have no understanding of - it reads: New CPU installed, Ftpm/psp NV corrupted or ftpm/psp NV structure changed. And then wants me to choose resetting or not - I have done neither since the monitor is not supposed to be connected to the motherboard. I just wanted to see if I’d get something.
-Removed all RGB
-Reconnected every connection on the motherboard
I am still getting a blank screen.
the motherboard does not have diagnostic lights that I can see (even though a google search will tell you it does), but the tower power light has a slow blink. If that is the same as diagnostics lights, it would indicate no boot device detected. However, I am at a loss for how to fix that. Any suggestions would be welcome.
thank you.
Jason

Is this a real Samsung Sata SSD? The price is set to my country's currency which equals 170$, but I'm having doubts about it being real. Any immediate giveaways?

Me and my partner have been looking for a laptop or a PC (though laptop preferred) for his professional school and I’d really appreciate some info-
He’s going to college for Architecture, and needs something that could run advanced programming without the worry of constantly crashing

I used latency mon and it says its the main culprit in my games stuttering
I did most things everyone recommends but stutter is exact sams and it remains 2.57 ms when it stutters in a game. Idk what to do.

I’m going to begin working from home. I’m not that tech savvy so trying to figure this out. I need a WiFi adapter and I’m wondering if someone can put it into easy terms for me what the difference is between ASUS - USB-BE93 Mini Tri-Band Wi-Fi 7 Nano USB-C Network Adapter - Black
And ASUS - USB-AX56 Nano AX1800 Dual-Band Wi-Fi 6 USB Network Adapter - Black
Is there a reason I should be spending more? Or are they pretty comparable?

Goodmorning,
Is this spray safe to use in my computer to spray dust out of fans etc? It looks like it consists only of butane, propane and isobutane.

CPU - Ryzen 7700X
RAM - 32GB Corsair Dominator DDR5
GPU - Radeon 7900xt
PSU - Corsair RM850X
Storage - 1TB SSD, 10TB HDD
OS - Windows 11 Pro
Every 5-30 minutes, my computer stutters for 10-45 seconds. GPU utilization drops to 0%. Many programs are affected, each differently.
Discord becomes unresponsive, communications ceases; Photoshop crashes entirely; Opera is unaffected; Minecraft---most strangely---continues working, interacting with servers, recording block placements, but no changes are rendered, so placed blocks have visible hitboxes, but do not actually appear until the stutter ends; and as far as I can discern, Windows continues functioning, at least superficially.
CrystalDiskInfo assures me that both my drives are in good condition with no errors, and the affected programs are distributed between my SSD and HDD. Furthermore, Event Viewer has not been insightful to me; no errors that align with the stutters---but, honestly, I don't know what I'm looking at.
CPU utilization does not change during the stutter, and my computer does not run hot---usually, CPU is around 70C, GPU around 55C, and the stutter occurs even when temps are lower.
I thought it was a GPU driver problem initially, so I reverted from Radeon 26.6.4 to 24.9.1. I don't even know if that might have worked because, inexplicably, it was almost immediately updated---to an unknown version from 9/24/2025.
If anyone has any idea why this is happening---or for that matter, why my drivers got updated!---I would be most delighted. This has been so bothersome. Thanks so much.

So I have a gaming pc thats worked for over a year. the last week or so it will not post at all unless I jump the pins to reset cmos. then it works fine until I shut it down. when I shut it down via windows it does like a soft shut down where the lights and fans stay on with the AIO still going but all my monitors go to sleep. Im at a loss. So far I have re seated all the components including RAM that are in slots 2 and 4.
My specs are RTX5070ti
Ryzen 9800x 3d
32GB XPG ram
Prime 850 Plus wifi mobo

I was playing on my MacBook, when I realized, I HAD 90+ GB USED UP! But everything I checked was below 10 GB (like Minecraft, Curseforge, Roblox, Modrinth) I even deleted stuff and it's still 90+ GB. I tried restarting my laptop but nothing, can someone help?

Hi everyone,
First of all, I already know I made a mistake.
I was in a hurry because of work and I traveled with my desktop PC without removing the graphics card first. I know I should have taken it out before the trip.
When I arrived, the case had been hit during transport. The tempered glass near the GPU had marks and the front panel was damaged.
I turned the PC on and, surprisingly, it worked perfectly for about 3-4 hours.
After that, I suddenly got purple square artifacts all over the screen. The PC froze, I couldn't move the mouse or keyboard, and eventually I lost video output while the PC stayed powered on.
I removed the RTX 3070 Ti, reseated it, and it worked again... but after about 10 minutes the exact same thing happened.
Since then I've also had:
One thing that makes me doubt is that the PC suffered a physical impact during shipping.
Could this be a damaged RTX 3070 Ti, or could a damaged PCIe slot / motherboard cause the exact same symptoms?
Unfortunately I don't have another compatible PC to test the card yet.
Any advice or similar experiences would really help.
Thanks! https://imgur.com/a/mKW1zk9

Sometimes it responds to the taskbar at the bottom, sometimes to open windows, sometimes the cursor clicks on the desktop and works. But sometimes when I start the PC, a problem arises: the mouse moves, but I can't click with it. I noticed this is a common problem among users, and everything worked for them if they opened the Epic Games Launcher or deleted it. I deleted it, but nothing happened. I'm waiting for your help, thanks in advance. I can't upload the video for some reason.
