This is my first short form video that I cut up utilizing my live stream composing sessions. Each week I dive into my own works and compose on YouTube live. Each session is full of theory and figuring out what defines my tonal language. This was the first session where I got my screen share to work properly. I am still figuring out how to talk out loud about my own work especially since I am developing it in real time. These videos have helped me become a better composer.

I am excited to keep doing these and move forward in my composing journey!

Hi! I composed this waltz inspired by Tchaikovsky's Album for the Young, Op. 39 (that I am currently learning at the piano). The form is ABA', with A being the main waltz theme and B a slower lyrical section in Cmaj.

This was very much an impulse composition. I just got the impulse to write a short piece, so I composed this short and sweet little Bagatelle In Eb Major.

This is an updated version of the last song I posted about, I was looking for things to tweak since something just felt kind of off so I’m uploading it to get a second opinion. (yes I know some parts are dissonant, it’s on purpose)

I’m writing a piece and it switches from a simple 4/4 feel to a 5 feel that’s still in 4/4, however i don’t know if i should keep it in 4/4 or do 4 measures of 15/16 and a measure of 1/4. In terms of reading, counting, and directing this music which do you think would be easier / make more sense?
