I really like the detail of the fox spirit admitting that he(?) honestly deserved this.

Always refreshing to see a trickster character own up to their hijinks instead of trying to play the victim. Still devious, but oddly principled about it, lol

It's true, in natural magic traditions, garlic is noxious to fey, ghosts, and all number of other etheric monsters. Maybe Italy and Korea had an abundance of etheric monsters at one point, since garlic features so heavily in their dishes?
