Planning for the Future - Today!
I am too young to watch a certain documentary, but old enough to know the future is coming.
Do your future self a favor and add a calendar reminder for your 50th birthday - set for all day, too.

Did someone make an entrance to Alan Parsons Project’s “Sirius” recently?
I thought it might’ve been Doug Groupes, but not for the most recent tour. If anyone remembers this please help a brother out - I also might be hallucinating.

Carl Tart (SNL, Comedy BangBang) Joins Pro Wrestlers Dolph Ziggler & Ryan Nemeth
Hi guys, I'm a pro wrestler (Ryan Nemeth) and have been doing this traveling comedy variety show for the past few years with my brother (Nic Nemeth AKA Dolph Ziggler from WWE). Typically we try to sync the show up with big wrestling PPVs. We try to get new fun guests, both wrestlers & comedians, on stage at each show. The show is a blend of improv, stand-up, special guest bits, etc, always on theme with pro wrestling. Super fun. I love doing them.
We are doing a show in Los Angeles this weekend and are lucky enough to have Carl Tart on the line-up. I adore him as a performer and am so stoked. Earlier this week I was doing some press for TNA, the tv wrestling company I work for, and of course I wanted to plug our upcoming comedy show, so I mentioned Carl was performing with us in LA. One of the podcast hosts got excited and then went and made their own press release for it, which I found to be both funny and flattering haha. Anyway I shared it with him- with the caveat of "Hey just so you know, I did not ask him to do this, but wrestling journalists are very enthusiastic to say the least...so just giving you a heads up in case you see an official press release dramatically announcing you doing our show, and maybe think it's weird." Thankfully he also found it both funny and flattering. And he's still doing the show haha.
All that to say: If anyone is a huge Carl Tart fan, or a wrestling fan (or, ideally, both) I just wanted to spread the word here. I'd be happy to comp a ticket or two if you want to come to the show. Otherwise, it is live-streaming, which I'm so excited to try. We've never streamed one of these before. And if this comes off as douchey promotion for an event- totally get it, no harm intended and no hard feelings! All good to take this down, np. I just know he's been a frequent CBB and wanted to share! Thank you all :)
In conclusion, Carl Tart is performing on our pro wrestling comedy show and we are super excited and just want to spread the word to relevant groups and potential Carl Tart heads out there! Ryan Nemeth
I'll add the press release here and a poster with info but it's at Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre 5919 Franklin Ave Sat July 25 at 10:30

The pilgrimage has begun
It's around midnight where I am at. In an hour the bus leaves for Brussels, I'll arrive at 7:00. There, my train leaves at 13:00ish for London. I'm grabbing lunch with a friend, a fellow CBB fan I met here. Going to the VIP show. Early Thursday morning the next bus, off to Manchester. Got some time off there until the Saturday show. Sunday it's off to Leeds, the third show. Tuesday is a gruelling six hour bus ride from Leeds to Bristol. Show number four. Luckily I can rest on Wednesday. Thursday it's an early morning flight to Glasgow, fifth show and second VIP. Friday I'm heading to Dublin. I'll spend the day there, that night's the last show of the UK and Ireland leg of the Ground Beefing Tour. I'm skipping sleeping that night and I'll walk around like a zombie at the airport. Saturday August 1st I'll be home around noon. CBB means so much to me and I am so excited to see my favorite performers work their magic on stage.
TL;DR: I'm going to all shows because I like the podcast very much.

LA hotel recs? (Ground Beefing Tour)
So, once every few years I splurge on some random trip for myself. Two years back it was Japan. Few years before that Boston. Just an older, single guy who has enough money and is wanting to see more before he kicks it
Anyway, bought tickets to the LA show and booked a flight today. First time back to the west coast since I was literally 6 months old, born in Glendora to eloping parents. Have no idea where anything is and am too lazy to figure it out.
What would be a good hotel in the area that’s close enough to the things that are happening? And knowing how introverted I am, that only means accessible from LAX and not far from the show. I’ve tried sussing it out myself and it’s mostly overpriced or budget inn level. And I don’t mind overpriced, if it’s worth it.
So anyway, tldr: LA hotel recs?

We have Bonanza, we have Bonanas for Bonanza, no other entertainment is necessary
Not really, I mean, I love all the shows but damn. Yeeeee haw! I so love this show. There's so much here I feel lucky to have ears. Plus it's funny living here in Reno, Nevada, seeing all the old vestiges of the western years crumbling around town. Dalton Wilcox is a hero, killing so many monsters, which he never talks about he's so humble. Cowboy style.

PFT on ICP & the Juggalos
TIL Paul F. Tompkins used to appear regularly on The Best Show with Tom Sharpling. This chunk about the Gathering of the Juggalos is gut-bustingly funny. A true C+.

Todd action figure
Are they ever going to do an anatomically correct Todd action figure?
