If you talk with a current student, ask:

1. What surprised you most after enrolling?

2. What do students complain about when staff are not listening?

3. How easy is it to get the classes you need?

4. What happens on a normal Friday night?

5. How available are professors outside class?

6. What is housing like after first year?

7. Which type of student tends to feel out of place?

8. If you could choose again at the same price, would you still attend?

Ask the same questions at every school. The comparison becomes much clearer when the questions stay consistent. One enthusiastic answer should not decide anything; look for patterns across several students and verify academic and cost information with the college.

So I am getting VLSI in 1st round in MAIT and CSE in MUJ which one should I take if fees is not an issue.

I am a PCM student with eco, so doing BBE in ARyabhatta or CVS is better than doing Bsc Eco Hons in Symbiosis Pune. Pune doesnt have staying in campus facility and cost of living is very high and lot of bad elements/ extreme culture around pune. Faculty is ok/ building is very old plus the travel cost. my home is in delhi . I am getting BBE , or i can BA program (eco+maths). Marks very low for eco hons in DU. My aim is MBA /consulting role. please suggest, i need to take a call

I’m choosing between:

• Boston University MET — MS in Computer Information Systems
• University of Michigan–Dearborn — MS in Information Systems and Technology

My goal is simple: pick the program that gives me the best career payoff.

BU has the stronger national name, but UM-Dearborn may have better local connections and a more traditional program. I also wonder whether the MET (online) label makes the BU name less impressive to employers.
