Crazy! The FBI found the same thing in every single one of its 5 different research projects and statistical compilations on that subject. It’s been a known thing for like 3 decades and then reaffirmed in every single proceeding study afterwards.

u/Hairy_Coconut2022 15m ago

Actually I'm looking at their data and it appears that in 2024 all of it was deleted so I can no longer look at the data around this.

u/freedfg 2h ago

There's a reason they're trying to classify protesting, touching a pool, and being shot by police as "terrorism"

Besides the normal fascist reasons. They want to tip statistics.

32

u/Gameboywarrior 2h ago

Normal People: "Trans people shouldn't be the target of government harassment."

Republicans: "Hold up there, buddy. That's radical gender ideology and it's terrorism."

Normal People: "That sounds kinda fascist and I'm against it."

Republicans: "Oof. Sorry, but that's also terrorism."

u/xanif 2h ago

There's a reason this administration removed the "What NIJ Research Tells Us About Domestic Terrorism" study from the DOJ site.

(Hint: Right-wing extremists are responsible for more terrorist attacks than Islamic or far-left extremists)

u/ThrowingShaed 33m ago

i didnt even think of the numbers,, that will then be thrown back not that they mind the numbers they dont like... i guess there is an element of part of that being a human thing... its going to get worse isnt it? i guess i knew that but i put it out of mind a lot

85

u/Cyberslasher 2h ago

When one side proudly states "we are all domestic terrorists" it turns out that, yes, they are the domestic terrorists.

It's always the people you'd most expect.

3

u/SLiverofJade 1h ago

One group proudly states, and another that's full of transgender and/or antifascist sarcastically states.

u/DomWithDiscipline 12m ago

Sometimes people tell you exactly who they are and then act surprised when they're taken at their word

u/SheenPSU 33m ago edited 4m ago

Was this, I dunno, in response to something???

Edit: possibly after Bidens DOJ likened school board protesters to domestic terrorists perhaps…

u/Gabbsweet 2h ago

Politicians will look at an 80% stat and still spend three weeks debating whether the remaining 20% was secretly caused by video games

18

u/Timely_Mess_1396 1h ago

They look at that 20% and try to figure out how they can legislate against trans people.

u/MyWifeCucksMe 46m ago

In reality the remaining 20% is also right-wing extremism, but done by a non-white person, which for some reason gets counted differently.

u/Paksarra 46m ago

Really, it seems like every single young man who murders some people after getting their minds poisoned by right wing propaganda designed to seed violence is immediately and loudly declared a far left transgender woman, sometimes before the bodies are cold.

u/flyinhighaskmeY 25m ago

You have to remember, one man's terrorist is anther's freedom fighter. In the US, Republicans and Democrats destroyed the country with stimulus. Stimulus is just bailing out failed business owners to protect the jobs (socialism).

As the consequences of the US majority's socialism have materialized, the majority has taken to blaming minority groups for those consequences. Democrats, controlled by women, are blaming "misogynistic men" and using their control over the government to oppress that group. Those are your "right wing terrorists". They're fighting back against oppressive rulers. (they're also the ones who warned the government couldn't save everyone. So naturally they're taking the blame when the majority didn't listen)

As for this majority issue, its the same as what happened in Nazi Germany. The Nazi's were just normal Christians. They did the same thing Democrats are doing, but they did it to the Jews.

Anyway, that's where mass shooters/domestic terrorists are coming from. Shooting are down now because Trump is kicking the shit out the failed majority (people like you). That's weakening your oppression and reducing the problem.

u/Sharkbait1737 13m ago

Trump couldn’t kick the shit out of his own trouser leg.

Please get help.

u/morostheSophist 3m ago

Democrats, controlled by women

Holy misogynistic bullshit, Batman.

You need to get out of the manosphere, stat. It's killing the few brain cells you have left.

The Nazi's were just normal Christians. They did the same thing Democrats are doing, but they did it to the Jews

Oh, never mind. You're a complete imbecile or a troll.

u/1976kdawg 2h ago

Jello Biafra was warning us about this in the 70's wake up!

u/blamethepunx 24m ago

Dead Kennedys unfortunately always relevant

47

u/thirsty-goblin 2h ago

I guess those assholes are the woke ideologists that this current administrations has declared a terrorist threat.

18

u/Just-Miles44 2h ago

It is important to look closely at these long term security trends

1

u/billshermanburner 1h ago

Very.

5

u/joyfullydreaded23 1h ago

Hard to do now when they are erasing the data.

1

u/gogogadgets1997 1h ago

You remember when during the end of the Biden admin he was feverishly hiring judges and making copies of a lot of stuff. I just hope they made copies of the incriminating stuff and gave it locked away.

u/actibus_consequatur 15m ago

The DHS's first Homeland Threat Assessment was released to the public in October 2020 under Trump, and, well...

Among DVEs [Domestic Violence Extremists], racially and ethnically motivated violent extremists—specifically white supremacist extremists (WSEs)—will remain the most persistent and lethal threat in the Homeland. ...

WSEs have demonstrated longstanding intent to target racial and religious minorities, members of the LGBTQ+ community, politicians, and those they believe promote multi-culturalism and globalization at the expense of the WSE identity. Since 2018, they have conducted more lethal attacks in the United States than any other DVE movement.

15

u/rebri 2h ago

Al Quieda, isis, Israel are all extreme right wing movements along with the MAGA movement to say otherwise is stupid. They all want compliance for women, children and non-believers alike.

12

u/tohon123 2h ago

Is there a source for this information? Because I would love to send it to my MAGA buddy

It's the DOJ's own study. Trump didn't like the results, so the Republican Congress deleted it from its own site

21

u/Zeyode 2h ago

This used to be hosted on the NIJ's website, but got deleted by the Trump administration in 2025.

u/actibus_consequatur 18m ago

got deleted by the Trump administration in 2025, less than 24 hours after Kirk's shooting

"Based on government and independent analyses, right-wing extremist violence has been responsible for the overwhelming majority of fatalities, amounting to approximately 75% to 80% of U.S. domestic terrorism deaths since 2001."

...

"By contrast, left-wing extremist incidents, including those tied to anarchist or environmental movements, have made up about 10% to 15% of incidents and less than 5% of fatalities."

Whats that bullshit they believe in? Great white replacement? Some bullshit like that

4

u/mickeyhellhound 1h ago

Unfortunately statements like this only matter if the ones responsible actually gave a shit.

3

u/hollowsoldier- 2h ago

Congress looks at stats we’ve all been aware of since 2009

2

u/carriegood 2h ago

Why is there a pic of John Osoff there?

1

u/iiitme 2h ago

quiet manipulation

2

u/DrowningKrown 1h ago

Good luck finding the source to this anymore. It used to be on the NIJ website but they removed the entire study. Archive and way back links are available though

2

u/jerrysburner 1h ago

Trump released a 100 page report detailing the far left terrorism in the USA - you know, from the late 70's through the late 90's, tied to Cuba:
https://www.state.gov/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/Cuba-Report.pdf

he literally had a 100 page report created detailing old terrorism to justify a war with Cuba?

u/Trabethany 36m ago

The people in charge will still blame the left though. I wish everyone could all just be open minded and listen to both sides logically then decide where they should stand.

u/DrTommyNotMD 35m ago

We’ve all been saying it’s religion so yeah same thing.

3

u/Stownieboy91 2h ago

In other news, water found to be wet.

u/sharkbomb 40m ago

because right of normal is the violent authoritarian side. it is literally the definition.

u/Ass_Damage 38m ago

That's the opposite of a clever comeback.

u/Xeroh_01 36m ago

It’s literally the red dots and the singular blue dot meme.

u/DanLikesFood 29m ago

Does that include Islamist attacks? Most would be right wing anyway

u/Vaeon 23m ago

Well, Americans don't care about facts, so....there's that.

u/noble_vas 19m ago

🙄

u/2FistsInMyBHole 14m ago

Because gang violence isn't classified as domestic terrorism.

u/zanii 3m ago

And for those wondering, the other 20% are not "far left extremists", it's a mix of other things. So the whole "antifa" terrorism thing, like do many things with the far right, is just a reflection of their own faults.

u/BizBrkr 1m ago

Especially when you eliminate BLM, Antifa and other left-wing violence from the data.

u/LarrySupertramp 0m ago

MAGA seriously thinks that Islamic terrorist attacks are not right wing simply because they don't like Muslims and Democrats defend their rights. The fact that the radical Muslim terrorists want to enact a religious authoritarian government means nothing to them because liberals said they shouldn't discriminate Muslims and that somehow makes them part of the left. They are not serious people.

1

u/OkYak9466 1h ago

It's sort of like how Islam is responsible for a super majority of global terrorism but nobody wants to accept it neither. The facts don't care about political lines

u/blamethepunx 21m ago

Christianity and Judaism have been slaughtering people for centuries, you're on to something here. Abolish all religions

-1

u/twinheight 1h ago

This is not a comeback

-27

u/RutCry 2h ago

Who believes this crap?

Next report will be that those ships in Pearl Harbor attacked the Japanese, who were then forced to defend themselves.

15

u/Shubamz 2h ago

Most rational people who can just look around and see with their eyes do.

People who don't spend their days rotting their brain with propaganda from right wing talking heads do.

Rhetoric is not evidence.

Peacefully protesting and exercising your constitutionally protected First Amendment right is not violence no matter how much you people claim it is.

https://www.gao.gov/assets/gao-17-300.pdf

Right-wing extremist violence has been deadlier than left-wing violence in recent years.

Based on government and independent analyses, right-wing extremist violence has been responsible for the overwhelming majority of fatalities, amounting to approximately 75% to 80% of U.S. domestic terrorism deaths since 2001.

Illustrative cases include the 2015 Charleston church shooting, when white supremacist Dylann Roof killed nine Black parishioners; the 2018 Tree of Life synagogue attack in Pittsburgh, where 11 worshippers were murdered; the 2019 El Paso Walmart massacre, in which an anti-immigrant gunman killed 23 people. The 1995 Oklahoma City bombing, an earlier but still notable example, killed 168 in the deadliest domestic terrorist attack in U.S. history.

By contrast, left-wing extremist incidents, including those tied to anarchist or environmental movements, have made up about 10% to 15% of incidents and less than 5% of fatalities.

How about since 2016?

u/No-Bass-1728 31m ago

Same result

-23

u/FreshEmployments 2h ago

It's wild how discussions like this immediately become partisan instead of focusing on preventing political violence across the board. Extremism is a problem regardless of who's doing it.

33

u/Chief_Mischief 2h ago

It's wild how an overwhelmingly skewed rate of violence associated with one end of the political spectrum ends up being a "both sides" issue. Regardless of needing to address extremism, when one side makes up 80%+ of the problem, they should obviously be the side that has the most attention.

10

u/Agreeable_Praline_50 2h ago

THIS!!! Extremism is bad on both sides, but it’s far more prevalent on the right, so it’s fair to focus more on right wing extremism. I’m tired of having to “both sides” every little thing when one side is far more guilty than the other.

11

u/Gremict 2h ago

You don't understand, left wing extremists are more likely to write essays of meandering texts at each other in these pages long arguments online.

Clearly, they are equivalent.

-9

u/Icy-Measurement-8 1h ago

Are you talking about black crime rates?

u/SaucyStoveTop69 51m ago

Black crime rates are perfectly normal. I believe the stat you were thinking of was poverty crime rates. And you can't talk about that without acknowlaging why black people tend to be more impoverished (racism)

u/Icy-Measurement-8 48m ago

I disagree and dont acknowledge systemic racism. I dont see it honestly

u/Chief_Mischief 41m ago

I disagree and dont acknowledge systemic racism. I dont see it honestly

"My mom feeds me 3 square meals a day, therefore I dont see the abject poverty in India and it doesnt exist"

u/Icy-Measurement-8 36m ago

Thats not a very good comeback

u/gremlinclr 31m ago

I disagree and dont acknowledge systemic racism. I dont see it honestly

Well good thing reality doesn't give a fuck about your objectively wrong opinion huh bud?

u/Icy-Measurement-8 17m ago

Your not my bud, pal.

u/I-Reply-To-Morons 29m ago

The funny thing about "not acknowledging" things like systemic racism and inequality is that it still happens and it doesn't care if you "think" it doesn't.

u/Icy-Measurement-8 16m ago

Thats perfect really, because I dont care

u/blamethepunx 14m ago

Then your opinion doesn't matter. If someone is too stupid to believe in something that is a very obvious and serious problem for a huge number of people in a society, then they don't get to weigh in on it.

u/Icy-Measurement-8 9m ago

Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one, and they all stink. I do get to state my mind, like everyone else, regardless of my position. Can you believe I also get to vote?! Better beat me to the polls

9

u/Adddicus 2h ago

Well now, I'm no expert, but it seems to me that if you want to prevent political violence across the board, you might want to start with the people that are doing 80% of it.

11

u/Snarkasm71 2h ago

You can’t prevent what one political party refuses to admit exists.

9

u/RasJamukha 2h ago

Not only refusing to admit, but, seemingly, actively promoting it, too

3

u/joyfullydreaded23 1h ago

Ain't no "seemingly" about it, they 100000% are and do.

3

u/RustyKn1ght 2h ago

Yes, but far-right is the only form extermism that has actual political influence within US system, where as Islamists or far-left do not. That's what makes them more dangerous in the long run, that they actually use political violence to get results.

u/SaucyStoveTop69 59m ago

The most effective way to solve problems is to identify the root cause.

-3

u/stewpidazzol 1h ago

Just saw something claiming the exact opposite. It’s the left wing. It’s always best if we can be as divisive as possible.

u/blamethepunx 18m ago

Claimed by who? It matters. This is from multiple studies done by the government and independent contractors hired by the DOJ.

If Cleetus McRedneck is claiming it's the left doing it, it doesn't hold the same weight

u/No-Bass-1728 31m ago

No it's called reality.

This goes against my fragile worldview so I'll just say it's wrong despite facts to the contrary.

Or...are you saying you don't trust our current government/administration?

4

u/YourBlanket 1h ago

80% is the higher end, it’s estimated to be between 75%-80%. It’s worth noting this is completely disregarding Jihadist. If you include jihadist it’ll be about 50/50, they’re also including any prison murders by an extremist. It doesn’t have to be a terroristic attack. That 50/50 figure is also leaving out 9/11, those are post 9/11 stats.
