First time grafting and rooting citrus
First time grafting and rooting citrus cuttings grafting 2 shiranui, 1 variegated sour orange, 1 variegated cara cara, 1 variegated pink eureka, and 1 variegated kumkuat. What i didnt give away to people in my local plant group i decided to try to root. I noticed the variegated cara caras and kumkauts failed exceptionally fast with both methods. The variegated sour orange graft was looking good but unfortunately looks like its now starting to fail. Photos at 8 days progress.
Im assuming some of them already pushing new growth is a good sign. I vent the dome for about 10-20 minutes a day. Used .8% rooting hormone and coco coir for the cuttings im attempting to root and an airlayer on meyer lemon. Root stock from 4 winds and budwood from Madison. Pretty sure im hooked, this is way too much fun š
