Health & Troubleshooting Can rootstock grow above the graft line?
Hey there! I’m pretty new to gardening and learning a lot about growing fruit trees. I’ve heard you should cut off suckers that come from the roots stock so I wasn’t sure if that’s what this was, or if that’s just good healthy growth from the fruiting tree?
When I asked Google AI, it said cut it off, but I’d be much more confident getting that type of advice from a real human lol.
Based the photo, I thought the red line is the graft line so above that would be the fruiting tree’s leaves, wouldn’t it?
Side note: does this look buried too deep?
