What is working well and What can be improved here? And what would be a good color for her pupils?
Also, if the faces in the two drawings looks a bit different it's because they were drawn in different times.

New character from Runavia!
Beliam, the old Wind rune holder! He is a bit cocky, don’t let yourself get fooled by his style and elegance, with his rapier he can pierce through you in a second. Yeah he is a male and he slaysss.

He is a bar owner, a handyman, and is based on the Old Fashioned cocktail.
His design went through many iterations over the course of my project. His most important design features is his silhouette and mustache. I wanted his figure to be reminiscent of the old fashioned style of cocktail glasses - short and wide. His mustache is comically large and represents the orange twist that typically garnishes an Old Fashioned.

Art by raitvisualworks.
Dame Iris, leader of the Ring of Fire bandits. Operates within Califia, an island nation home to the legendary amazons. Her prowess in fire magic, along with her rather imposing 210 cm stature, makes her quite intimidating to most.
She is a major character in my first completed novella.

I poorly explained the pose change in my last post. I changed the pose to be more stiff to resemble a salute more as those poses arent typically dynamic.
Removed some curves on the redraw + drew the fur round so it can be easier for me to draw her (as I'm slow at drawing). Plus, the antennae are more similar to the original drawing now.

I don't know if the new one is an improvement. There are some aspects I prefer in the new version. Also, I purposely made the pose more stiff to seem serious. Oh well, what do you all think?

What do you look for in "stalker" characters like this? In your opinion, what needs to be done to make them more compelling?

The first image is my new design. The second is my old design. I wanted to give this character a stronger, more unique silhouette and design, so I changed her to be more 70s inspired with these wisps that resemble the lava in a lava lamp. I also pushed her facial features so they are more pronounced. Any thoughts or opinions on this redesign? Suggestions? She was really getting lost/over looked amongst my cast of other monster themed characters.

I'm struggling with Corona's design (slides 1-3). It's frustrating, since Aria (slide 5), her counterpart and lover, was so easy in comparison...
Any crit and help would be greatly appreciated! Slide 1 is her current design, and I most likely intend to keep her face covered with a cartoony star. I just can't seem to nail this "divine galaxy mother" feeling... My favorite piece I've ever done with her is from 2023 (last slide) - she's not the figure, but rather the yellow eye silhouette and everything else.
But onto some details!
Corona is the mother of the World. She may seem docile, but she's quite posessive and usually gets away with her intrusions on her child's privacy by claiming she's helping. She can morph into a nebula to disguise herself.
She's meant to be a capricorn/amaltea inspired divine creature, one that nurtures but isn't quite in touch with anything. She holds great power, but doesn't listen. Her ultimate sins are apathy and enabling. Her eyes are either closed or covered, because she gave them away to her children (referencing how you can lose your vision during pregnancy). Once you learn how much she sacrificed for her loved ones it's hard to feel bad for her, but when she continuously refuses to listen to her children and their actual needs, well... she becomes an immovable object.
I want her to be a towering, divine presence - seeming kind and gentle, but also removed, distant.
I included a general moodboard on slide 6. I rarely make ones this big, so it only goes to show how frustrated I get with Corona...
Once again, crit is appreciated! You can lay it on me, art school taught me to take it. I just need to get through this roadblock AGHHHHH
