Hi as the title says I live in Iowa cedar rapids area; and I have the fiber service with CenturyLink (940mb) so my problem is kinda new and idk if that has something to do with the outage in july 8; I was lucky that my area wasn't affected for that but It seems to be that my hub now is bad Routing/peering everything true the Denver dataCenter/hub and them to any serve I desire to connect
Before the july 8 out was: Cedar rapids Hub - any server I desire to connect
After July 8 out: Cedar rapids Hub - Denver hub (ae7.edg8.den1.sp.lumen.tech) 4.68.110.105 - any server I like to connect
tracert 104.128.48.8 (Chicago server who I regularly got 7-9ms) got 41-45ms now
1 2 ms <1 ms <1 ms router.lan [192.168.88.1] 2 1 ms 1 ms 2 ms cdrr-dsl-gw17.cdrr.qwest.net [209.181.206.17] 3 1 ms 1 ms 1 ms 209-181-211-133.cdrr.qwest.net [209.181.211.133] 4 19 ms 19 ms 19 ms ae7.edge8.den1.sp.lumen.tech [4.68.110.105] 5 41 ms 40 ms 40 ms ae2.2.edge2.Chicago10.net.lumen.tech [4.69.132.225] 6 41 ms 41 ms 41 ms 4.71.100.51 7 43 ms 41 ms 41 ms as30455.edge1.sbaedge.net [64.79.101.37] 8 * * * Tiempo de espera agotado para esta solicitud. 9 41 ms 41 ms 41 ms 104.128.48.8.static.hostvenom.com [104.128.48.8]
So I did a speedtest to Chicago and I got 75 ping and I don't get the speed right (and yes no one was using the Internet and I change ip probably 10 times already) so I find a old speedtest to the same server in Chicago which was 7ms and 920/920mb
Any one present this same ping and speed issue? Cuz everything goes true the Denver hub (4.68.110.105) and I guess that's why I got more ping and even lost few mbs
I am not a super mega smart guy or IT technician but there's any way I could fix it? Or any number to call directly to a technician in CenturyLink cuz I try with support true the website and explain everything about the bad Routing/peering and they just want me to reset my modem with any real solution; thanks in advance!
