A new CLI alpha is out to catch configuration problems before startup, eliminating mid session debugging when components are missing. Find the command on our Discord.

Withdrawal testing is live on Devnet to verify flows before going live, letting users safely recover funds from foreclosed apps. Config files are now supported for the run command, alongside an inspector endpoint compatibility fix.

The Rollups Explorer updated to v2.0.0 alpha 3 adds status indicators and warns before sending transactions to foreclosed apps. A small UX change with a huge impact:

Contributors deployed fresh alphas of rollups contracts and the PRT dispute system to Sepolia testnets, fully verified on Etherscan for complete transparency. Contract addresses are ready to use.

Inflation affects interest rates.

A team winning its group reshapes the bracket.

This is a combinatorial information market demo built with deterministic, reproducible probabilistic inference on Cartesi. ↓

A Combinatorial Information Market represents connected variables as a single probabilistic system.

Instead of treating forecasts as isolated markets, it captures the relationships between them.

That unlocks conditional forecasting too: "What if inflation stays above 4%?"

Under the hood, CIM uses a junction tree to perform exact probabilistic inference efficiently.

Related variables are grouped into cliques connected by shared variables. Belief propagation computes exact probabilities by passing information between these local clusters rather than operating on one massive joint table.

Weekly Highlights Cartesi Weekly: Rollups Node Emergency Withdrawals, Why DeFi Needs Linux, And ChainPatrol Podcast Recap

Rollups Node v2.0.0-alpha.12 is out. The main feature is emergency withdrawal. Authority, Quorum, and PRT applications can now be deployed with a guardian and a withdrawal output builder. For the first time, users can withdraw funds from a halted application and from accounts proven onchain, fully trustless end-to-end. New CLI commands cover the full lifecycle, and JSON-RPC adds ‘cartesi_listWithdrawals’ and ‘cartesi_getWithdrawal’. Full CLI walkthrough in the #rollups channel:

Dev/Tech 10 Reasons DeFi Needs Linux Onchain

10 reasons DeFi needs Linux onchain. Let's go! 🐧

1. Linux has 30+ years of solved problems. DeFi keeps re-solving them.

Every algorithm DeFi needs, someone has already written, audited, and optimized. Compression, encryption, data structures, all of it. Linux brings that library onchain. Time to stop reinventing the wheel.

2. The EVM was never designed to be a general-purpose computer.

That made sense years ago, but it's now the ceiling that prevents DeFi, AI, and data-intensive apps from existing onchain in any meaningful way. Linux is what a general-purpose computer actually looks like.

3. Real math requires real arithmetic.

Every financial model onchain is an approximation. Black-Scholes rounded. Risk models capped. Yield curves estimated. Linux, with deterministic floating-point arithmetic, means DeFi can finally run the same math TradFi has used for decades.

4. Complexity should not force you off-chain.

Too complex for the EVM? It goes to a centralized server. Trust the result and move on. That's not decentralization. Linux onchain means complex computation stays inside the verifiable execution environment, not on an AWS instance.

5. The developer who builds the next great onchain app probably doesn't know Solidity.

They know Python, Rust, C++, or Go. The barrier isn't the idea, it's the tooling. Linux removes it. Builders shouldn't have to learn a new programming language just to deploy verifiable logic.

6. Databases belong onchain too.

Onchain state today is a key-value store. Any app needing relational data or complex queries has to work around it or move off-chain. Linux gives us SQLite, PostgreSQL, the full stack. Real applications need real databases. So should onchain.

7. Serious security isn’t obscurity.

Custom Solidity crypto and data structures are where vulnerabilities live. Linux gives us OpenSSL, libsodium, decades of mature libraries stress-tested since before Ethereum existed. Battle-tested over hand-rolled, always.

8. AI cannot be trustless without verifiable execution.

Most onchain AI puts outputs onchain and calls it verified. That's just a claim with a blockchain timestamp. Running inference inside the Cartesi Machine makes the execution itself fraud-proof. The output becomes provable.

9. AI codes best where software already exists.

Modern AI is strongest in ecosystems with decades of code, documentation, and examples. Linux is that ecosystem and the largest codebase. Building onchain with Linux gives developers both the software and the AI trained on it.

10. Production software needs production-grade testing.

Linux gives developers mature debuggers, profilers, CI pipelines, fuzzers, and testing frameworks that simply don't exist at the same level in smart contract environments.

The infrastructure exists. Now it's onchain too.
