Workflow Advice Output sharpening for full sized exports?
Do you enable output sharpening in the export recipes when you export images full sized for viewing on screen or only when downscaling images?

Just got an Asus Artpro Z14 with Snapdragon X2 Elite and the colors aren't showing up correctly. Has anyone had this issue? As you can see from the video, the main screen is showing blow but the thumbnail on the right is showing accurate colors. When I click on the image, the colors show correctly before changing to that blue color.
The images are the ones that come installed with Capture One, but i was having the same issue with my own sessions on this laptop. When I opened the same session on my desktop, there was no issues. Also no issues when exporting or opening photoshop files.
I've tried a fresh Windows install, reinstalling graphics drivers, clearing image color cache, and disabling hardware acceleration. Has anyone had this issue and/or found a fix?

When I plug the camera into my Mac laptop and launch capture1, it sees the camera under ātetherā but I donāt see it anywhere for importing images. Am I missing something?
Along with this, is there anyway to download from the internal memory, or do most of you shoot to an sd card and use the internal storage for backup or jpgs?

Hello!!
I'm currently working on archiving my photos using C1 sessions. I'm using a renaming format that is : Ā FLB_YYYYMMDD_0001Ā (YYYYMMDD being the date the photo was taken) and I'm trying to replicate a behavior I had when i was still working in Lightroom : the counter should be tied to the date in the filename (in the EXIF metadata as well of course bc it's the same date)
SO: if I import photos shot on 2026-07-21 in the morning (getting the counter from 0001 to 0050), then import more photos also shot on 2026-07-21 later that day (a second card, a second import, etc.), I want the counter to continue from 0051 for that same date not restart at 0001, (every date has it's unique counter, and every photo of the same date has a different number) and not just keep climbing indefinitely across different dates either. The counter should be "scoped" per capture date, so each new date starts fresh at 0001, but multiple imports on the same date keep incrementing correctly. Also, the archived photos will be in different subfolders under capture, they will not be arranged by date but by themes.
Capture One's counter doesn't seem to work this way, it's a single global running number tied to the import, and I'd have to manually check the last number used for that date and set the counter accordingly before each import (pretty much impossible to do lol).
I was wondering if anyone:
I'm working on a MacBook Pro M3 max, even a rough script I could adapt or a smart naming token setup would be a huge help.
Thank youuu!

Hi everyone,
I'm having a recurring issue with Capture One that has happened multiple times, and I'm trying to figure out the root cause.
Setup:
Problem:
Randomly, when I try to open or create a catalog, I get:
In the past, the catalog eventually became corrupted with errors like:
This has happened more than once. Sometimes unplugging and reconnecting the SSD works temporarily, but eventually the catalog becomes unusable.
I suspect one of these:
I'm now wondering if I should:
Has anyone experienced repeated "Database Connection Failed" errors on an external SSD? Did you find the cause?
I'd really appreciate hearing what solved it for you before I risk losing another catalog.
Thanks!

Iāve been at it for a few months now and seeing the photos pile up. I need to get my pictures organized better and start utilizing my external ssd but this is all foreign to me. Whatās your process from culling through to final edit? Do you keep you catalog with all your shots and projects on an ssd and plug it in to your comp when you work in capture 1? Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated Need to wrap my head around how all this work and start utilizing external storage

I use DxO PureRAW 4 for a long time and I was suprised how well the C1 Enhanced Denoise works. I haven't been able to find a noticeable difference until now. The top-left corner of night sky has much more color noise (first picture) than what DxO produces (the second picture).
The impact value was 60, but it wasn't better even with 100.
I haven't updated to newer versions of PureRAW because the community feedback was rather negative about the results and the version 4 is still being updated for recent camera/lens models.
I can send the RAW file to C1 to investigate it.

Hi, I'm an interior photographer and I use C1 HDR. Is there a way to batch convert HDR photos?
What I want is to tell C1 to create HDR for 90 photos without having to do it one by one.

I have a Leica MP240 and C1 version 16.3.8.2038 and all my previews are blurry. I can import and view them just fine but I want to cull my images before importing. Also viewing DNGs on windows are blurry too. Does anyone know how to solve this?

Cannot for the life of me figure out how to disable this - wasn't present on any previous version (at least, not by default) and I'm having to place my end points far off my corners so I can actually see where they are.
Running the current version. Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Hello, I hope you're all having a good Thursday!
I feel really dumb asking this question, but am really struggling to find the best workflow after switching from Lightroom Classic: How can I see photos I shot across 3 SD cards in the same catalog?
I shot a wedding on 2 SD cards, and my 2nd shot on 1. I want to cull the images by time, so her & my SD cards sync by time. But I can't seem to do this without dumping all photos into one folder, which feels disorganized.
What do my C1 wedding photographers do? Any help is welcome!

Since I moved to C1 this function has been like trying to run on quicksand, it had let me down multiple times with clients. Images suddenly disappear from the link, and previously tagged or rated images resets to no tag or rate.
It feels worse than a beta function. Iāve opened tickets with support more than once, and they seem more confused than on top of the issue.
Will this ever be fixed, or should I look for a reliable tool?

I need C1 remember individual Import folder for every Catalog. Not global one for all Catalogs. Is it a way to do it ?
I can use option "Import / copy to catalog". C1 copy images to its catalog folder structure in that case. However this option doesn't give any meaningfull way of organizing images in Catalog. All images are in one line "In Catalog" without any structure. Manual organization isn't a way (its a lot more work). When importing to folder (Choose folder" option), I can use TOKENS to automatically create folders structure based for example on image create date.

Hello I have a Mac Studio 2022 M1 Max and Iām using CaptureOne 16.8.3.14 with a Canon EOS R3.
Everything works fine but when Iām shooting, images take so long to get into the program, and be able to see them in focus. Iām using a Cobra cable 10 GBIT.
I tried everything but still super slow when iām shooting
Any advice?
Thanks

curious if this is an issue for anyone else because my workflow has not changed at all and i've never had this. on an m2 max, 32gb ram, macOS Tahoe, C1 v16.8
every batch feature basically isn't working. applying a color adjustment (WB, exp, curve, no ai features/retouching/denoise/etc) to 1,000 photos takes ten mins. usually takes like 30 seconds. right now im packaging 207 images as eips and the time estimate is 24 minutes.
C1 is the only program running, the computer's hard drive is clean, i restarted the computer, i deleted and reinstalled capture one. certainly doesn't seem to be a hardware issue but i've also been using this version of C1 since it released and wasn't having this issue before

Hello. When I record video on my NX800 I set the detail setting somewhere between -2 and -4 depending on the general vibe im going for. I find this helps lessen some of the digital pop and sharpness, especially if im using a filmic LUT.
How do I do the same with capture one pro? Since im capturing RAW from my A7R5, the detail setting doesnt save (its only for jpeg output AFAIK). How do I achieve the same detail setting via capture one on the RAW files? Thanks

Iām trying to tether my fx3 to capture one to do some tests and Iām struggling to get it to connect. Has anyone been able to tether their fx3 or has an idea of how to trouble shoot?
I know the fx3 is more of a video camera, but capture one does support it for tethering via their website.

I recently moved over from Lightroom where it is possible to group similar photos. In Capture One, it is possible to group images in the importer but I don't seem to be able to group them outside of this window. Am I missing something?

I am seeing a slight delay when going though photos in viewer mode. It only happens if the photos are edited with masks etc. I am using a MacBook Pro M1 Pro 16gb. Other than that the app is responsive and I am not having any issues while editing a photo.
Edit: I should clarify that by lag I mean that when moving to next photo quickly, it appears briefly kind of pixelated and takes about one second to render properly
Now I know my machine is not the most recent one but just wanted to know whether this is something that would improve with a more recent cpu and more ram or if it is simply the nature of the beast.

Fairly new to Captureone, used to Photoshop and it was easy to find the recipes in photoshop cause of the AI thing. For Capture One, where do you guys buy or download recipes?

Looking for input on this. I have a DNG file from an HDR blend using Capture One. When I use spot removal I get this glitchy artifacting. It's been bothering me for quite some time now. I thought of getting some input here on Reddit. I've tried turning off and on hardware acceleration but to no avail. Mac M1 system.
Looking forward to any input. Thanks in advance!
