Is there such thing as healthy candy?

Do you consider the sugar free candy healthy (ie., SmartSweets or Joyride) and if not, would you eat candy that was actually healthy (ie., made with real nutrients but tastes exactly like traditional candy) instead of the sugar free ones?

My husband thinks sugar free is healthy and I don’t agree so want to hear some other opinions lol

Rotten candy released two new products which are their versions of sour starbursts and skittles and I NEED to try them. But they only sell them in 8 packs that end up being $30 each 😭

Does anyone have the ingredients or does anyone know where i can get the Hershey bar with those ingredients they made in the 80's?

I stopped eating Hershey about 15 years ago because it doesn't taste as good as it did in the 80's. And I recently tried it and its gotten worse.

Building a sour candy for anxiety/panic/overstimulation

Hi everyone! I'm a neuroscience graduate with ADHD and anxiety, and I've been using grounding techniques for many years (one of which includes eating sour candy to help get me out of spirals). I've recently begun experimenting with a sensory-focused candy of my own for moments of anxiety, panic, overwhelm, or overstimulation. I'd love to hear your experience with different sensory needs and fun candy textures/flavors.

I put together a short survey to see what people would actually want in something like this (or if they even want it at all).

If you're interested in helping, comment or DM me. All feedback is deeply appreciated!

Thank you so, so much! :)

Edit: for transparency, this is a personal project I'm tinkering with on my own, not tied to any company right now but might sell them one day if it goes anywhere! I just want to build something that people truly want instead of guessing. Also, to be clear, none of the data is being sold or shared anywhere :)

Since a few of you have asked, this is the link to the survey in case anyone else wants to help out (I tried to make it as short as I could, it should take about ~5 minutes): https://forms.gle/69WoNqm4sQhoH9h29

P.S. If you're anywhere near LA and would want to try an early prototype sometime, please DM me, I'd love to get your feedback :)

Help me identify a candy from the early 2000s

This has been driving me crazy. I’m trying to remember a candy I used to eat in the early 2000s, and these are the details I remember:
Came in a small cardboard/paper box.
The candies were loose inside (not individually wrapped).
About the size of a dime.
Round and opaque, usually a dark red or purple color.
I think they were grape or cherry flavored (possibly blackcurrant).
No sugar coating on the outside.
They started out hard, but if you sucked on them instead of chewing them, they became soft and chewy—almost exactly like a fruit snack. They didn’t just dissolve like a hard candy.
They stayed the same size while you were eating them.
I vaguely remember they may have had concentric circular ridges on top, but I’m not completely sure, so don’t focus too much on that.
They’re not Bullseyes, Life Savers, Jujubes, Dots, Wine Gums, or Grether’s Pastilles.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? It’s possible they’re discontinued or were more of an old-fashioned/adult candy than something marketed to kids. Any guesses are appreciated!

Hi everyone! I own a chocolate factory in South Florida and would love some new flavor recommendations for our fall menu. Specifically, this is for dark chocolate bark. Our customer favorites (for context are hazlenut & chocolate krisp. Any suggestions?

DON'T get the fake peeleres at goodwill

I was at goodwill and these are on a rack by the exit. Also yes i have to say this, they are not used candy that were donated, it's NEW candy sold by goodwill. Anyway it was 3 dollars for one bag which is MORE than actual peelers!! You can get 3 for 5 dollars at 5 below and one bag for 1.25 at dollar tree. I thought green grape would be yummy I was curious but it sucks, there's like a dustyness to it. I've been impressed by candies at tj maxx and marshalls so I'm no stranger to buying candy from places you shouldn't, lol!

I was in Bi-Mart in western Oregon today and they had some nostalgic candy at a great price. I haven’t seen the Crows in decades and they were $1.59. The jujyfruits were $1.99, and the watermelon Dots were $1.59. I have never seen the watermelon Dots in the wild before. Has anyone tried them?

Sparkies for me. Early 90's in North America. They had soda flavoured skittles shaped candies, and just as good.

Sour Dudes Mango Belts

Both my boyfriend and I thought they tasted like peach, like an actual real fruit peach . I found mango undertones. I haven't tasted a sour that can balance a full flavor along with actual sour. This is my new favorite but I Bought out the whole stock so I hope they get more.

seeking real sour balls

Just got a big bag of sour balls from amazon. They're......barely acceptable. Flavor isn't bad, but there is no sour at all. I could do w/out cherry in the mix, but I'll still eat them if they're there. Grape is actually welcome. But I want the sourball level that was in the 80's for this kind of candy. Anyone know of a tried and true that's still in production?

If they’re too soft, they haven’t been left open on the counter long enough 😂

Can also be frozen for max chewiness. ❄️
