Birthday Cakes A simple vanilla sponge for my grandma’s 75th
My grandma is visiting me from England for her 75th and I’m honoured to have been able to make her a cake since she raised me and was like a mother to me. She loves everything pink and girly so I made it frilly for her, and used a pink cake board of course. I used this recipe from Ash Baber since it’s easy to bake and my Nana isn’t too big on super flavourful food, so this simple vanilla and chocolate ganache cake is perfect.
The piping is a little messy in places because I made the rookie error of piping on the swirls before the text, and it’s a fairly small cake. Plus my handwriting is similar to doctor writing so by my standards it’s fairly well done haha
Happy birthday Nana!
