Best tiniest cheapest caffeine pills?

Upvotes

I've tried guarana powder to add to my tea, but i think the whole package went bad because it tasted terrible. Plus the caffiene measurements were off and i didn't add enough. I nearly fell asleep at the wheel and had to drink coffee. The reason why i didn't want to drink coffee every day and just have it occasionally was because it makes my face look pastey. Since caffeine goes bad so fast I don't think i should spend big bucks on it and I should buy the cheapest smallest pills and use them until they go bad. I've been using Jet pills since they so small but they go bad after a while. I never finish the bottle, tho they are sooo cheap. I don't know if there's a smaller cheaper pill available.

Could it really be the caffeine?

Hi,

I suffer from severe anxiety (GAD) and have been struggling for years to recover.

About a year ago I gave up alcohol while still drinking 3–4 coffees (with cream and sugar) a day. After about 5–6 months I started to feel much better. My motivation, drive and overall mood gradually returned.

Unfortunately, I started drinking again about two months ago. It wasn't much at first, but it ended with me drinking every day on a recent 14-day holiday.

When I got home, I decided to quit both alcohol and coffee because I know they both seem to play a role in my anxiety, and I'd read a lot of posts here about caffeine making anxiety a lot worse for lots of people.

Today I'm 12 days off alcohol and 9 days off coffee, and it's been brutal. My anxiety has been through the roof, the depression has been severe, and I've even had some intrusive suicidal thoughts (which are unwanted and seem to come with the anxiety but not looking to act on them). Mornings are by far the worst, then things gradually improve from around 4 pm onwards until the evenings are relatively calm.

This morning I just couldn't take it anymore, so I had a double espresso with cream and a little sugar to see what would happen.

Lo and behold, within about 30 minutes my anxiety dropped dramatically and the depression eased as well. It honestly shocked me.

Now I'm wondering whether trying to quit alcohol and caffeine at the same time was too much for my system. I'm considering focusing on staying alcohol-free first for several months, then, once I'm more stable, gradually tapering off coffee instead of stopping everything at once.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Did quitting alcohol and caffeine together make things much harder, or did you find it settled after a few weeks?

Any thoughts (not medical advice obvs) or shared experiences appreciated. I'm just trying to understand why reintroducing coffee made such a dramatic difference after 9 days without it.

Thanks.

T

How to stop feeling tired all day without energy drinks?

I've been dragging myself through every day lately, especially in the mid-afternoon. I can barely stay focused on daily tasks, and I'm stuck yawning nonstop no matter how much sleep I get the night before.
I used to rely on energy drinks to get through the slump, but they make my heart race and always leave me wide awake at night. Coffee doesn't work well for me either - it just makes me jittery without really fixing the tired feeling.
I'm looking for natural, no-caffeine ways to beat this constant fatigue. What small daily habits or simple tricks actually worked for you to stay energetic all day? I' d really appreciate any real-life advice.

Building Tolerance to Particular Brands of Energy Drinks?

Is it normal that I feel like I need to regularly rotate among several different brands of energy drinks on a weekly basis to continue to achieve the desired effect?

My incredibly tedious, mundane job which I start at 6 AM demands a steady supply of caffeine, and I really wish I could just buy a certain brand I like in bulk and save a ton of money over time. I don't drink a copious amount of energy drinks, maybe two a day on average. But I swear if I drink 2 celsius(es?) on Monday, continuing to drink it on Tuesday simply does not work. At best, it provides no additional energy, at worst, it actually makes me feel more drowsy. So then I pivot to red bull. But then even on Wednesday it seems like usually my celsius "tolerance" still hasn't completely subsided, so I'll move onto some third brand. And so on.

Is this something others experience? Is it actually possible I'm rapidly building tolerances to the particular formulas of each drink? Is there some other explanation for it? Is it all in my head?

Cross-tolerance - caffeine and pseudoephedrine

Every odd morning I have caffeine. Every even morning I have Pseudoephedrine. Although they are different substances, both are stimulants . I'm afraid that caffeine would have a stronger effect (e.g. on mood) if I didn't take Pseudoephedrine on even days.

Your opinion?

I tried the milder Synephrine instead of Pseudoephedrine - but it has zero effects on my brain

Thank you

random extreme caffeine sensitivity

i used to be an absolute caffeine enthusiast. i would be able to have 2-3 coffees a day or a couple energy drinks, never thought twice about it. then all of a sudden in the beginning of last year when my panic disorder started i suddenly became extremely sensitive to caffeine. i tapered down from 2 coffees to 1, then 1 to half-caf, and now down to completely decaf. on rare occasions if i eat a huge meal and have electrolytes i can manage a caffeinated coffee, but even then i will still feel extremely panicky. it’s gotten to a point now where even decaf makes me feel panicky a bit. shakiness, chest pains, dpdr, etc. i absolutely love coffee so this whole process of trying to taper off of it has been disheartening but i absolutely cannot deal with the panic attacks. i vividly remember around 2 years ago drinking 3 full celsius drinks without a second thought. i don’t know how it’s gotten to the point where i can barely drink a black tea. how could random caffeine sensitivity like this happen???

What actually compliments caffeine for energy?

It's not all the time, but on days that I need a boost, I'll take a 100mg caffeine supplement that you can get off amazon. Seems to work fairly well, but I was hoping that someone here knows what compliments it best.

Meaning, what helps it give you more energy? After reading about Taurine, the results seem to be mixed. Then there's B6 and D3, and now you have a Red Bull energy drink.

Has anyone here found anything that gives it a little extra oomph? I tried looking for 125 and 150mg capsules, but it jumps from 100 to 200mg. I'm not interested in 200mg because I've tried it and it wasn't fun. It gave me everything you don't want.

Thanks!

Caffeine in some sources making me sleepy but keeps me awake in others?

Very complicated thing. If I drink chai(Tazo ~60 mg a cup), I fall asleep, even after 4 cups(I get tired and fall asleep for 6 hours). If I drink coffee, its a three way version of a coin toss. I either fall asleep, nothing happens, or I get a bit of energy. Monster usually keeps me awake unless I drink it after 4 PM in which case I pass out. I am neureodivirgent, which Im told affects this, but are there other possible causes?

Withdrawl Headaches but feeling normal

I didn't mean to not drink caffeine today, but I was late to work and didn't have the time to pick up an energy drink like I usually do. A moderately annoying headache set in around 10 am, peaked at noon, and declined until now, where it's far less painful. The funny thing is, I'm not especially tired. I'm studying right now with no unusual focus problems, and I'm not irritable or cranky, just having a headache. Has this happened to anyone else?

250 mg caffeine keeps my blood pressure and heart rate elevated all day, anyone else experience this?

Hey guys,

I've been dealing with high blood pressure after taking caffeine anhydrous pills, and I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

I usually take one 250 mg caffeine anhydrous pill first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, then I go train (usually swimming or kickboxing). I only do this every other day, so I'm not taking caffeine daily.

Here's the strange part: when I take it, I get an amazing boost. My workouts feel great, my energy is high, and I love the effect.

The problem starts after my workout. Even though I'm physically exhausted, my heart rate and blood pressure stay elevated for the rest of the day. My systolic blood pressure is usually around 135–150 mmHg, and my resting heart rate stays around 75 bpm, whereas it's normally 55–60 bpm. I also keep sweating throughout the entire day. Even in the evening, my heart rate and blood pressure are still elevated, and I have a really hard time falling asleep. I often can't fall asleep until around 2 AM.

I'm also making sure to stay well hydrated. I drink plenty of water and use electrolytes (including a good-quality sea salt), so I don't think dehydration is the issue.

What confuses me is that I always thought caffeine had a half-life of around 5–6 hours. If that's true, why do I still feel like my cardiovascular system is overstimulated so many hours later?

Has anyone experienced something similar? Is this just how some people respond to caffeine, or could there be another explanation? I really enjoy caffeine because of the performance boost, but the prolonged increase in heart rate, blood pressure, excessive sweating, and insomnia are becoming a problem.

I'd really appreciate any insights or similar experiences.

Long term caffeine abuse

I have adhd and have been using (and abusing) caffeine for about 8 years. At this point, I'm probably consuming about 1,000 mg of caffeine daily. My tolerance is ridiculous. My anxiety and focus/energy is all over the place.

How do I get out and build a sustainable habit?
