I lost my brother to suicide recently, he was my best friend and this has been the hardest loss on me. When this butterfly landed on me I felt an overwhelmed sense of peace. It would not leave me alone. We enjoyed each other’s company for a while…I can’t help but wonder you know, if he was showing me a sign..thoughts?

Got a visit from my favorite butterfly on my birthday... Sat still right in front of me while I snapped a photo. You cannot convince me that this wasn't a visit from my little brother who passed away... Miss you little brother 💛

Momma Swallowtail not only egg bombed the intended host plants, but clearly there was some friendly fire! I wonder if this will successfully hatch/harm the existing caterpillar?

These guys have arrived over the current period of sunshine. Had 5 last year and unsuccessfully tried to look after them…. 🥲. What is the best approach - to intervene? Or leave alone? I have a few others elsewhere in my house. Located in Dumfries and Galloway. I get maybe fifty visits a day….. most leave of their own accord, but some slip through. Thanks in advance for your guidance.
