질문 | Question Thoughts about PKNU for Korean Language Program?

안녕하세요!

I'll be enrolling to PKNU this coming winter/spring and would like to know if it's a good choice for KLP? Also, if there's anyone here who's a PKNU student, would like to know what and how was the process for the enrollment.

Thank you so much!

조언 | Advice I might’ve messed up…!?

This is about a university/degree choice that I made recently. So here’s the summary.

I/ my agency applied for Game development degree at Dongseo University.
Got rejected. (Maybe due to passing the deadline)
Agency recommended another university.-Kosin (as it was the only one that had applications open according to agency)
Applied there. ( I am aware it’s not a worth uni but I have limited time so I had to, due to personal reasons which I will explain in another post or as an update if needed)
Now thinking of going under D4, get through the 6 month language training period and thinking of reapplying to a better university.
If no luck, might settle for whatever Kosin provides.

So here are the new questions that rose to me. Many said both Dongseo and Kosin are basically not worth the time, money and energy. Someone replied and I quote “It's the kind of school you apply inorder to get a student visa and work illegally at a chicken deboning factory. I mean it pays well.”This actually broke my heart because I don’t want to do that after spending so much trying to get some quality education. So, I will not consider them both for further studies but I HAVE to attend Kosin as I already applied and they interviewed me. ( they said I passed but can’t guarantee because of again, the deadlines) What I now wonder is are my qualifications not enough… apparently, if I understood correctly and please correct me if I’m wrong, according to the replies I received on my previous post I seem to have very low qualifications.(?) Maybe. I don’t know. That’s what I understood. Please don’t come at me I’m already struggling because of this choice being forced upon me. I will not go into details of it. So, if I want to apply for a better university to do an ICT related degree as my bachelor what are my paths and what qualifications would I need? What are the better universities?

조언 | Advice Got rejected from Dongseo university just now!

I(21) just received the email stating that I got rejected for applying for the fall intake of Dongseo university. I applied for Game development course under D2-2 visa which is taught in English. I had very high hopes but as it seems I’m not qualified. They stated un the email that the application process is highly competitive hence I was one of the unfortunates that got rejected. However, I’m planning a different path now. I’m not applying by myself, an agency is handling my documents and they gave me an option. The option being, apply for Kosin university under D4 visa and complete the language course and pursue a bachelor there OR re-apply to Dongseo after language studies. I have not taken any Korean language proficiency tests yet but I do have IELTS (band 7). They say, this is what most students do but I’m losing hope on the agency and their words. I’m trying to get this done as soon as possible to avoid a gap between my studies, which I heard would be a significant trouble when applying for higher studies at any country (These are what I heard not quite sure abut the truthfulness)

The question is, will I get a guaranteed acceptance to Dongseo even after language course? And is this path actually a possible option for an international student?(I’m Sri Lankan btw). I really want to pursue a degree in ICT sector and Kosin university is not the best known for it. So, I would like to know if this is a possible path, why might be the reason for my rejection (the agency has proof of acceptance of master’s students at Dongseo but not bachelor’s), will my acceptance be guaranteed at Dongseo if I did a language course and applied? Any advice or tips will be appreciated!

질문 | Question I have some questions about Dadaepo Beach

Even though I live in Busan, I’ve never been to Dadaepo Beach. Is Dadaepo Beach usually crowded? Also, I’m curious about the ratio of Korean locals to foreigners there. And how does it differ from Gwangalli Beach and Haeundae Beach?

Looking for tennis partner in busan

Hi, 30M Korean here looking for tennis partners in Busan.
I've learned for about 4 months, It’s been over one year since I played tennis
so I can hold a decent rally, but I'm not at a strong match level yet. Looking for advanced beginners or intermediates who want to improve together!

When: Weekday evenings
Where: Haeundae, Sajik, Dongnae, Jeonggwan, Gijang
(I can pick you up depending on the location)

I can book the courts and I have 2 extra rackets (Yonex Ezone / Wilson Clash) you can borrow. Just bring tennis shoes.

Language: My English is good enough for casual conversations, and I can also speak Japanese. I'd love to do a bit of language exchange while playing!

Time: Weekday evenings work best for me.
If you are interested, pm me

질문 | Question Pokémon Mega Festa 2026

Hello! I’m wondering if anybody knows, or heard, anything about the Pokémon Mega Festa happening in Busan this weekend?😃
I’m a fan of Pokémon and would like to visit but I haven’t been able to find much information about it. I know they will be holding a sort of stamp even like they did last time. I guess my main question is I’m wondering if there will also be some merch available?

질문 | Question [Found Item] A hat that seems to hold cherished memories

Thumbnail gallery
49 Upvotes

This hat was found in Gijang-gun, Busan, South Korea.

Judging by the handwritten inscription “CPE 2026” on the hat, it appears to be related to “Clinical Pastoral Education,” and the owner's name seems to be “Daniel.”

Based on the words written on the hat, the owner is likely associated with military chaplains, hospital chaplains, or pastoral care ministries.

Please also take note of the other names written on the hat, such as "Bishop Tirona", "Jose Espada", "Castillo", "Stephanie", and "Sr. Shirley".

For any further details, please refer to the photo.

If anyone happens to know the owner or someone who might be connected to them, please contact them and ask if they would like to retrieve this item.

\ Please understand that my replies may be slightly delayed, as I do not check Reddit very often.*
