First time parents trying to navigate the Manatee County School system. So our child is starting kindergarten, and we thought she was going to Bayshore Elementary and have her set up for after school care at the Desoto Boys and Girls Club. Turns our she is zoned for Sea Breeze Elementary, and it seems that the BGC doesn't send a bus there to pick up students. What are our options for after school care since neither parent will be able to pick her up until after 5PM each day? Looking for anyone with some experience with Sea Breeze Elementary specifically and after school care in general. Is changing her school from SB to Bayshore the best solution? And is that possible? Any help is appreciated.

They’re called flock security cameras. Since the agency was created early last year, it has doled out more than $1.4 million to the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office — and the sheriff has in turn proved a willing partner in the state’s immigration crackdown.

Update!!! I’m looking at moving into the MET?? It’s a 4 minute walk to my new job and the area looks fairly walkable. I’m coming to town in a couple weeks to tour a few places, but that’s my top choice right now.

I accepted a new job in the Bradenton area (west samoset to be exact) but will be flying home to Ohio 2-3x a month so want to be rather close to TPA.
