Cool to see Eric and Aaron working with SE! Even though they were talked about a lot, I still think they were an underrated part of BI. If I’m ever introducing a BI song to a new person I send them the YouTube video instead of a streaming link. And watching the 22,million and I,I videos is still an amazing audio/visual experience. 🙏

There are albums you enjoy, and then there are albums that quietly become part of who you are. For me, Bon Iver, Bon Iver is one of those rare records.

The first time I heard it, I didn't fully understand what I was listening to. It didn't demand my attention—it slowly earned it. Every listen revealed something I had somehow missed before: a distant harmony, a trembling vocal, a melody hiding beneath the atmosphere. It's an album that refuses to stay the same because I never hear it the same way twice.

Justin Vernon's voice feels less like someone singing to you and more like someone letting you into a place that words can't quite reach. It's fragile, haunting, and deeply human. The production surrounds you like weather—misty, spacious, and alive. Sometimes it feels like standing alone in a forest at dawn; other times it feels like driving through an empty road at night with nothing but your thoughts.

What amazes me most is how the album changes with me. On happy days, it feels comforting. On difficult days, it understands me better than most people could. Somehow, it never loses its magic. Years later, I'm still finding new emotions hidden inside songs I've heard dozens of times.

Bon Iver, Bon Iver doesn't just sound beautiful—it makes you feel beautiful in your quietest moments. It reminds me that music doesn't always have to explain itself. Sometimes it's enough for it to simply exist, surround you, and make you feel something you didn't know you needed.

I was pleasantly surprised to find Justin contributed writing and vocals to a couple of songs on Gracie’s new album, Daughter from Hell.

He’s most audible on Broke My Heart and contributed some lovely humming harmonies on background vocals on Humming. According to the album credits, he wrote on both of those songs.
