Younger me would have gotten cheaper tickets to MA, CT and NH shows and given up sleep to see him 3 times. Older me is more content splurging on one expensive ticket to see him up close! Fantastic as always.

I hadnt listened to it start to finish until today, but it’s great. It has the mellow, hangout vibe of Nashville Skyline without the adherence to the country genre singularly, and with a slight bit of edge holdover from his electric era. I loved how chill the whole thing felt, definitely a good “throw it on in the background with friends” album.

Listening to it evokes being at a cabin or something, maybe early in the morning or late at night, nice cup of coffee, maybe some weed if you go for that, mind sorta empty but also sorta fixating on a lotta random stuff, some important and some not. Great listen!

As the title asks, what events could have influenced Bob seemingly mellowing out by ‘68/‘69 from the peak of his edginess in ‘66? I know he stopped touring and had the motorcycle crash, and I imagine the slower lifestyle and less exposure to the public as a result could be at play. But what else was going?

On top of that, is my estimation of Bob being more mellow and laid back by the late 60s even correct, or am I constructing a narrative that is inaccurate?

His Bobness has been a major bucket list artist for a while, excitement hasn't hit me yet because I initially tried for London tickets closer to where I live but my partner and I will make a weekend getaway to Sheffield out of it!

Around the time he had that lung infection or whatever it was, and really messed up his voice is, I think, when people really started complaining. I hadn’t listened to him since Rough and Rowdy, but I was just listening to farm aid from 2025 and he sounds pretty much like is old self (albeit an 85 year old version). He definitely doesn’t sound like a different person like he did before.

I went back and listened to Shadow Kingdom which I missed, and it seems like it’s on its way back to returning on that. There’s still a little gravel but I can hear the old Bob in there.

But then, man, that farm aid… I never thought I’d hear his old voice again.

Anybody gonna try and get tickets today for his shows? If so where you hoping for. Quite a random mix of cities and venues this time. Last time i saw him in Bournemouth and liked the venue but this time id love to see him in the relatively intimate and impressive looking blackpool opera house

I have the classic album, know the basics, all that jazz y'know. I'm rewatching A Complete Unknown right mow and have got to wondering what the proper Dylan-heads think about it?

I know it's a bit fuzzy on the timeline (when Dylan met Neuwirth, the Newport setlist order, the Judas heckle, etc) but from my perspective I've always seen it as a really good film that gets across the complexity of Dylan as best as a two hour blockbuster biopic can do. Plus, I think Chalamets performance is exceptional. He's got the vocals almost perfect, he looks the part, and from what I can tell from interviews and press stuff he took the role incredibly seriously and really did his all to understand the role he had.

Have I got the right idea? The wrong idea? Is my liking of this film considered blasphemy? Am I gonna get an ai-generated historical fanfiction posted about me? I'm genuinely so curious about this. Please forgive me if this is the worst opinion on earth- it's the only one I've got.

Also, why is Pete Seegers house so strange?
