I’ve recently come across BlackCoin and I’m trying to understand how similar it is to Bitcoin. From what I’ve read, both are cryptocurrencies, but I’m not sure how close they really are in terms of technology, use case, and long-term potential.

Does BlackCoin work the same way as Bitcoin when it comes to mining, transactions, and decentralization? Are there any major differences that a beginner should know about?

I’d appreciate insights from anyone who’s familiar with BlackCoin or has used it before.

Hello. I do have an old BLK wallet from 2018 maybe that I never touched again. Is there a way to access those stored BLK via a new wallet or are they lost? Appreciate any help! THX

Hi there, I've seen some topicstarter on this on here already but I would still like to have some advice from you guys. My husband and I have been together for 3 years now and known each other for 5 years and kept in contact in the meantime. We have been living with each other for 3 years now and have a cute toddler for 2.5 years now. We've handen in our visa application (without a immigration adviser) in mid-March. My husband is currently in New Zealand because his mum's health is critical atm. That is also the reason why were thinking about going to New Zealand earlier than we initially had in mind. But We've seen that it can take upto 7 months to get the visa approved. Is there any chance it will be even longer than that that we have to wait for it to be either accepted (hopefully) or not? Would it be too much of a risk to go on a visitor visa first? Financially I'm going to calculate everything tonight to see if we can be without my salary for a while. His parents already offered their place to us for a while which would save us money to pay for rent etc. We've tried to hand in all the evidence as well as we could like a few bills, shared energy contract, proof of us living each other for 3 years now and the whole timeline of our relationship. Is there also a chance it will be even processed quicker because we handed in everything very well? Thank you in advance for answering all my questions :)

What's New in This Release?

• SegWit Activation: SegWit is now live on the testnet and will be activated on the mainnet starting June 20, 2025. This upgrade brings major improvements in security, stability, and performance.
• Network Upgrade: Starting June 20, 2025, new clients will signal support for SegWit. Once 80% of the network upgrades, SegWit will officially activate on the Blackcoin network.

How to Upgrade

1. Backup Your Wallet: Always back up your wallet.dat file to avoid potential data loss.
2. Download the Latest Version: Obtain the latest node and wallet software from our website: https://blackcoinmore.org/.
3. Resync Your Node: Due to database incompatibility with the previous version (Blackcoin More 13.2), a full resync is required. Please allow sufficient time for synchronization.

Important Reminder

• Upgrade before June 20, 2025, to ensure compatibility with the network. After SegWit activation, older clients will no longer be supported on the mainnet.

Make sure to sync from scratch, make sure the data folder (.blackmore) is empty, make sure you have a backup of the current wallet.dat file, and restore it after sync. You probably want to rename the current .blackmore folder to e.g .blackmore132.
