The city of Bentonville is idyllic and yet... non corporate art is a minority interest.

Some of you may know we have a comedy fest that is now in its third year (oct 22-24 this year). Every year roughly 2000 people attend.

Some of the best comedians you haven't heard of yet perform at Big Diamond Comedy Festival.
There's more famous comics too but IMO some of the best ones are yet to be discovered.

This year we'll have intimate shows at Bearded Goat and big ones at The Record (we'd have loved to have stayed at The Meteor but that's a long story...)

It's an entirely grassroots venture created by two comedians (Sam Tallent and I) and we really want to encourage supporting the arts at the non-Livenation level in NWA.

From our first two years, we've had multiple comics go on to get on Netflix's FunnyAF, audition for roles in TV/film/larger fests and are recognized within the comedy community as a great fest to perform at - and that's due in large part to you.

We literally have made three day passes/single show tickets as cheap as they've ever been. You can watch a show for as little as $15 or every single show for $199.

What's critical is that the community shows up. buys early and has a great time- before all we're left with is conglomerate productions.

My husband and I will be visiting Bentonville for the first time and I’d love some recommendations for places to eat. We’d prefer to eat somewhere locally owned that’s unique to the area. I also always want to try out a good bakery wherever we go, so any places we should visit are much appreciated.

I used to work for the momentary doing security, and I wanted to get back into it to make some extra income. Does anyone have a link so I can reapply for this?

Just moved to Arkansas and had built this up while still in Florida but never got around to riding it, was hoping to find a good home for it here as there’s a lot more options for people to really enjoy it. I don’t have the time anymore and need the money after a move lol, open to all offers

He’s an exceptional cat and I have a strong suspicion he was picked up. He usually runs a tight perimeter in our neighborhood and is loved by many.

This is a crazy increase in inventory in a relatively short period of time. Anecdotally, looking at listings within 1/2 mile or so of the square shows almost no real activity. Many properties are sitting for 6+ months, and in some cases, over a year. Some pending listings have been pending for quite some time, indicating they are possibly contingent contracts with a property on the other side of the deal that is slow to sell.

I'm curious what others' thoughts are on this. It doesn't seem prices have come down near downtown, but it also doesn't seem there are many takers. Some prices seem like they are functionally a "make me move" price, and those properties have sat for a very long time.

Personally, I'd be wary of a purchase right now, especially the high prices near downtown.

Devil's Advocate: Inventory went from 267 active listings in March 2022 to 1085 active listings in January 2025 and prices went up. So maybe that isn't as meaningful as I've implied. However, RTO also happened in that timeframe.

Simple concept, but in the county where the largest corporation in the world is located there should not be a single senior going hungry. There should not be w single PERSON in need period in this county out of everywhere in the country right now.

So, what are we going to do about it?

Hey yall, I have two student tickets to a concert tomorrow at the momentary and the friend I was supposed to go with can’t go anymore so I’m thinking of taking a non-student with me (a student) but both tickets are student tickets so I’m wondering if they’ll check student id’s at the door? I already have the actual tickets so idk if there will be a problem or not.

Hi! My family and I are relocating to NWA from the west coast (yay! originally from SW MO so happy to be moving back)

We are looking for a few things:

The best subdivisions for family friendly housing. We are already connected with a realtor and lender. Anywhere from Pea Ridge, Bentonville over to Centerton. Most have HOAs which we may not mind depending on specifics. Ideally I’d love to be able to have a few chickens lol

Second, I’m currently 22 weeks pregnant so looking for the best OBGYN recommendations.

Third, best daycares or childcare facilities. We have a three year old 😊

I recently visited Fletcher Honda to purchase a new Honda Pilot Elite, and the experience was disappointing.

The vehicle had approximately $2,400 in dealer add-ons (Fletcher Advantage, protection package, window tint, etc.) added on top of the MSRP. I wasn’t asking for those items for free. I simply asked that they be removed so we could negotiate starting from Honda’s MSRP.

The sales manager repeatedly told me, “We can do that.” But instead of removing the add-ons and presenting a new price, he continued explaining what each package included and why it was valuable. After the first explanation, I told him I understood and again asked him to remove them. I made the same request four more times. Each time he said he could, but never actually went back to his computer to remove them. He just continued trying to justify the packages.

Eventually I told him, “You keep saying you can remove them, but you haven’t actually done it. You just keep explaining them.”

Negotiating a vehicle price is expected. What I didn’t expect was not being allowed to negotiate from the actual MSRP after repeatedly being told the dealer add-ons could be removed.

If the add-ons are optional, then remove them when a customer asks. If they’re mandatory, just say they’re mandatory. Don’t repeatedly tell a customer you’ll remove them while continuing to sell them instead.

The entire experience felt more like a sales tactic than an honest negotiation, and unfortunately it left me looking elsewhere for my purchase.

If I had a loud ass World War II era plane, I wouldn’t buzz houses before 8 AM on a Saturday because that would make me an inconsiderate prick.
