I was slowing down a video of how the new gauges in EXTRA CHALLENGE AND ONE MORE EXTRA in this version, and I was kinda confused how they worked. I was confused as to how someone with 5 cbrk had 6 misses, with 2 bad and 4 poor.

Does an empty poor count as miss?

Hey guys, after a long hiatus, I've been trying to get back into learning IIDX and getting starter packs for BMS. I've tried looking at the usual github community resources, but Googling stuff has not been working as well as it used to.

For context, I have an Infinitas subscription, but I get audio desynching, even when forcing VSync and prioritising the power, using things like Special K etc etc, so BMS is my most comfortable and straightforward way of playing atm.

So far I've been able to at least get the BMS Starter Packs from 2018-2022, and GENOSIDE 2018. Currently I'm learning from around Difficulty 5-7

Is there a new place for legacy packs, or are these just all gone at this point?

I used to have a Touhou pack for example that had I think "Emotional Breaker" as one of the songs, but I can only find that as a single download, and I'm trying to avoid downloading songs individually if I can, just because I don't know what I should be looking for.

Anything you guys could point me to would be greatly appreciated, thank you so much.

I use a digital audio player "Fiio Disc".

I got the idea while looking at the spinning album cover,

so I used the 3D printer I had at home to make a mock-up of the 5keys.

They look really cute lined up together.

But as I listened "Metal Gear Solid",

I thought to myself that if I was going to line them up,

I should have bought the black one instead of the green one.

found these to be my favorites and the fact both MAME and PS1 for og series has these while IIDX 2nd wasn't on PS2 3rd style was it was nice having some janky music

i followed these instructions but i don't seem to be able to play the full version of infinitas and no transaction has gone through. where am i supposed to go to buy this? i keep clicking around on the eamusement website but nothing seems to work. just not sure where i could be going wrong

I've been playing IIDX (both Infinitas and Sparkle Shower) regularly for seven months now. I feel fairly comfortable passing many 9s and have cleared several of the easier 10s, but it feels like I am stalling in my progress, particularly on songs that I revisit often.

One issue is that I consistently get a disproportionate number of slows compared to fasts on the more difficult charts. For example, I might get 100 fasts and 350 slows on a song, and to me that feels like a problem. I've read the tips about this on IIDX.org, and they recommend increasing my green number so I have more time to react. Sometimes this helps, but then it causes the issue of the notes being closer together, which makes it harder for me to read the denser parts, and then I feel like my score doesn't really improve that much (though my number of slows might go down, but not by a significant amount).

My offset is set to around -3.00, and I use sudden and lift to cover about 65 percent of my screen. My play area is small, but I've found it really helps me focus on one part of the screen. With a larger play area, my eyes kept moving up and down (not ideal) when doing horrible on a string of notes (too often) and the panic feeling started to set in, and then my score would suffer as a result.

I guess I'm wondering if any of you have experienced this kind of situation and if you have any thoughts on how to improve the timing issues or on how I should adjust my settings? I want to continue playing but there definitely have been times when I've wondered if I have the aptitude to push further into the harder charts.

So a video popped into my head I saw a long long time a go. It's a video of a I believe Japanese man playing Beatmania. He has like a crowed around him watching him play. He hits like one note and start dancing around. Then he hits another note and dance around again. I remember the video being funny because it looks ridiculous. I can't find the video to save my life because it's like lost to the internet and is super old. Has anyone else seen this video?

hey. i usually play pop'n music in the arcade when i could. i couldnt really play this week due to being really really busy. and getting better at pop'n music requires lots of playtime right? T^T i cant bc i dont have a controller nor a pc what do i do?? im gonna go tomorrow to the arcade but i might save yalls tips for later if i get more of a messy schedule

Can someone pls help me understand or post a guide or walk me through how to actually reduce my audio latency? I’m not sure I need to reduce my video latency, or maybe it’s as reduced as it’s going to be with a brand new monitor and setting the hz to the highest the game can use, I don’t know, so I’d like to make the audio latency better in WASAPI and DirectSound but I’m not actually sure the steps.

The goal is basically to have the music game I’m playing’s offset settings be as close to zero as possible, whether that be Pop’n, Beatmania, GitaDora or whatever.

hi all, i played some iidx during 18~20. passed 6th dan on multiple versions and only 7th dan once on lincle.

i picked up iidx again recently, my muscle memory is still there, passed 6th dan in one go. however, i just found out the my playstyle was wrong (used claw on left hand, playing on 1p)

i corrected my playstyle to 1048, and have played about 30 credits or so with it, without switching back to claw.

now i’m facing some issues with certain patterns. namely:

scratch+2+4+6 - my left thumb immediately goes up to button 2 to press, instead of my left index/middle.

scratch+1+3 - is it correct for my to be using my right thumb to hit button 3?

So one of the things I love about Bemani games is the character designs. I think they're generally all fantastic, but it's hard to get a good look at them sometimes, especially when they usually only appear in flyer art and the game result screens.

So I'd like to ask, are there websites or books out there that feature the original character art from the various games? In particular, I'm looking for art of the characters from Beatmania IIDX, Gitadora, DDR and Sound Voltex.

As I mentioned in the Walkman Community, I created and installed a screensaver featuring her favorite characters, “smooooch,” on the Walkman my daughter uses.

This Walkman is a model from over 20 years ago—it’s actually older than my daughter—but it’s her favorite.

She’s currently at 6DAN and is already better than I am.

I have the old DJ-Dao pop’n music controller (with one PS2 output and two usb outputs). Everything worked fine til one day when I started my system, and the controller is not recognized anymore. I switched to another PS2 console and it works fine again for a few rounds, then suddenly I get the same issue again. Now I cannot get the controller to work on any of my consoles. Hardware, cables, connectors etc seems fine. Any ideas?

ive been playing pop'n music for 3 months at the arcade, every now and then. my level range is 27-32. i struggle a bit, especially with levels 30-33. can you give me some tips? also, i usually play with charapops in the game, but i have a bit trouble with the normal pop-kuns. i miss a lot of notes sometimes when i play levels 31-32. help would be very appreciated!

Hi, lately i've moved close to an arcade and started playing IIDX and SDVX and its been fantastic, moving from playing bms on a keyboard to play with the turntable has been hard to play the least lmao. I just miss tools like BMusicSeeker or Bokutachi to track sessions and scores. I've learned about Kamaitachi and i'd like to sign in but sadly is through invites. Anyone got a spare invite code? Reading older threads, it sounds like it's still ideal to replace the springs and switches of a Samducks button. If that's the case, I don't know how different a no-name button would be if the internals get replaced the same way.
