I just wanted to make a post to let you guys know about a couple changes going on with the sub. First, I know there's been an influx of bots lately. It's been super weird but I'm happy to announce that I installed a bot-bouncer application that is now picking up the bots and removing them! In the first day like 25 bots were banned. One non-bot person was swept up accidentally but if that happens, you just have to follow the instructions in the message and you'll be unbanned.
Second thing, we are looking for new mods! Jana has been busy with IRL stuff lately so it's just been me. I know that she posted a mod application before but I don't have access to it so if you are interested in applying to be a mod here, please fill out the application here:
We're looking for 1 or 2 mods who are kind, easygoing, mature, and drama-free. No moderating experience is necessary. Most of the job would just require checking the queue and handling any reports. Must be willing to use Discord so you can join our super secret mod groupchat to discuss things.

I really don’t like how the store is set up now. Everything is sectioned off and grouped together and it looks bad and not aesthetically pleasing. When I was shopping the other day I couldn’t find anything anymore as the store was completely rearranged.
I get that they are trying to elevate the experience but it’s not working and they aren’t a luxury brand.
I know stores outside of the US carry older product. Do ya’ll have Vanilla Romance body butter? I may or may not be going crazy right now. I’m on my last one.

I really enjoy this sub for a ton of reasons but today I think I realized the main reason. Y'all are SO helpful! I just found a scent that I am so in love with I may never change my clothes again. 😂
A while back I was talking on here about how much I love the Milk scent. Someone told me I'd also love Whipped Milk and Sugar from VS then too. I really wish I could remember who, but I can't.
I have never tried VS body products before but I finally found a bottle this past week in a sale bin. You were soooo right, kind stranger! I am in LOVE. I cannot stop smelling my wrists and my shirt. (Are their fragrance mists stronger than BBW? It really seems like it.)
I just wanted to say thank you for the suggestion. I am thrilled with this scent and may never wear anything else again. Ok that's not true but this is going to be in heavy rotation for sure!
Have you noticed all OE candles are $22.95?
I am guessing it could be because if you don't like the scent and try to return it, you won't be able to exchange it for a $24.95 one.

You know what, I wanted it and I got it. 🫣I had a coupon some gift cards and credits from SAS returns. After SAS, plus honestly winter SAS from last year and all of the princess line stuff I need no more candles and no more body care… i’m excited to jazz up my house with all the fun candleholders throughout the season that I’ve collected in the past year 🙌🏼😂
Im really sooo annoyed at the online exclusive bs. I get they dont have room in the stores for everything but why tf make a new scent OE? Its annoying. I believe this is new, i dont remember this candle at all. This candle should be in store because OMG is it gorgeousssss! I need 14 if em right now!😂😂😂😍. It gives all the fall feels. If you like marshmallow pumpkin latte, pumpkin bonfire, even leaves this will be totally up your alley. Im glad theres a candle sale happening because I will be getting several more.
Yup, it's Fall time and we start off pretty strong with the Fall releases, though it seems a bit like Fall 2 is coming a bit too slowly. Still pretty much got a good lineup going though!
NOTE: I wasn't able to get my hands on Midnight Marshmallow and I wasn't going to drop 75-80$ just for the FFM, so unless it gets dropepd heavily, I probably won't be able to get it for review by the next review I'm sure, but if I do...then yeah it'll be on that post (which is along with V.I.Pear, Oh My Rhubarb, and Name in Lights).
Anyways let's dive in!
Banana Blend (Whipped Banana, Smooth Vanilla, Radiant Amber) - So you might notice that I didn't get all 4 in the Fruit Fusions line because when I smelled them in stores, they all were STRUGGLING to last on my skin. I only bought the banana one because I was REALLY wanting a banana scent out of B&BW and they've been nothing but skirting around that scent for years without a straight on version (Dreaming of Rio & Belize Tropical Banana). Though this would've been a HIT if it had longevity because to me it smells like those Banana Peelerz candy and I have been digging those! HOWEVER, it doesn't last longer than maybe 5 minutes before all I get is the amber note which is unfortunate. This collection...
Almond Croissant (Toasted Almonds, Vanilla Glaze, Flaky Croissant) - Moving into the actual Fall collection with this gourmand set, Almond Croissant isn't a new scent persay (it's been a 3-wich candle), To me, it's a warm scent for sure, gourmand cozy I would say. Maybe it's just me, but that vanilla glaze is coming off a lot stronger than anything else, but I do get the warmth of the almonds and croissant, but also, it's slightly coming off fruity. Nice scent though overall.
Pink Matcha Latte (Creamy Matcha, Pink Sugar, Vanilla Foam) - The next scent in, is kind of an odd one to me? There's just something lacking in this one because it kind of smells earthy like matcha should be, but it's kind of overriding whatever else they were trying to achieve. Like there's not a lot sweetness and the vanilla is too faint for my nose to really catch so this unfortunately was a pass for me. Actually, once it dries down, it reminds me of last year's Book Loft minus the dustyness of it.
Caramel Vanilla (Buttery Caramel, Melted Brown Sugar, Whipped Vanilla Cream) - If you were looking for that bomb gourmand scent, you might find it in Caramel Vanilla because this is a VERY RICH scent that is incredibly potent in the caramel/brown sugar mix. I definitely loved this immediately and honestly might be a bit too powerful (especially in the middle of Summer currently). This kind of has the same WA-POW power as Pumpkin Pecan Waffles does. Yeah, this might not be in everyone's taste, but I think this will become a favorite once the weather cools down!
Oud Vanilla (Rich Tonka, Creamy Praline, Sugared Oud) - Moving into the Oud Collection, Oud in general has been a struggle for me as the scent can be nice, but it can also be a little too much that it could smell like a barnyard. Though I feel like with this collection in general, B&BW really held themselves back and we got a really nice vanilla scent with a slight leathery background. Though I also swear I've smelled this in another scent before...maybe Vanilla Romance? It's different though, but I do enjoy this one.
Oud Suede (Soft Musk, Amber Woods, Smoldering Oud) - This next one is much stronger scent and my brain said this is perfume-levels of scent here. From the first spray, I got a lot of Into the Night for some reason, but after a couple seconds later, it changes into a really deep and vivid scent on me. It's hard to tell what I'm smelling since the scent notes are kind of vague to me and not very specific. I think the amber is the lead with the oud laying in the background.
Oud Berry (Dark Fruits, Magnolia Petals, Warm Oud) - The last of the trio, I think Oud Berry might be my least favorite of the three because the oud in this one is touching the line of barnyard for me (mostly leathery, but damn). I do get a deep berry scent for sure as well which is fine, so it's kind of just like if you like berries + leather than this might be your thing, but this was a little too much for me.
Very Violet (Violet Absolute, Clean Musks, Warm Cedarwood) - This is an odd release since this is the first full-size we got where the scent notes were NOT on the back (and the website has a Top, Heart, and Base notes that's a bit more in-depth with the scent as well). This has a lot of nice florals going and it's pretty sweet (thanks to the fruit notes). It's pretty nice, not too heavy, but is this a Signature scent?

Fall 1 has been interesting. We did begin with Halloween (so strange to see it release in July). Of course we see the usual suspects in Vampire Blood & Ghoul Friend, but we did get a new one in Midnight Marshmallow and seems like not many were made especially how quick it became unavailable. Still not into the price gouging going on making it 75 to 80$ dollars so I'm going to let that chill for a more fair price.
Then was we had the Fruit Fusions collection and this was kind of the promoted set for Fall 1 (even though the scents aren't really Fall-ish, but more Summery). As I said above, I kind of was not interested in this collection because of how weak all 4 scents ended up being, enough that I only got Banana Blend out of the four. Yeah, this collection had some controversies and the scents themselves just weren't doing it for me...also since the bottle style and design aren't like the others, I might just leave this off the year-end review since I'm not too interested in getting the other 3.
Then came the actual Fall collection and I'm glad there was 3 new scents and Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin together and it's good mostly, the only scent I didn't really agree with was Pink Matcha Latte. Though I'm surprised not more of the usual appearances of B&BW's more annual scents are here.
Next was the Oud collection and I thought they did a pretty good job overall with the trio here. Though I will say that Oud Berry is riding that line, but I can appreciate its place here. Not bad and it could've easily gone wrong if they didn't handle the oud right. Though it's funny we didn't get Dark Velvet Oud back in some way lol.
Then there was Very Violet which as I've said is odd that the scent notes aren't on the back of it and yet it's a Signature scent. It's fine, decent and sweet scent that's also floral too.
Fall 1 was good, but could've been better, Halloween is losing steam and the Fruit Fusions was to me a failure (at least in the FFM style). The rest was pretty good though even if the staple scents were mostly missing here. Can't say too much on what is coming, but mmm...I don't know what B&BW is doing with these short releases (basically the scents I'm missing), but I'm not a fan of that...so we'll see what's next for Fall!
Ellis Brooklyn Vanilla Rice smells so much like Peeps to me. I know the official notes are completely different, but somehow my nose gets that same soft, sugary sweetness. I wasn’t expecting it at all, but I’m so happy because it’s the closest I’ve found to a perfume that reminds me of Peeps. I don’t know if anyone else gets that from Vanilla Rice, but that’s exactly what it smells like to my nose. I’m obsessed!
I know that there is a rumored coupon on Sunday night, but when I saw that pumpkin peanut brittle was available, I impulsively just jumped on it. I couldn’t risk not having that again after I only bought one a couple years ago, and then it was out of stock. 😩
My condolences to all of the cranberry pumpkin stans. I know I saw a few people getting excited about this, but they ended up releasing it as an online exclusive. 🫠
I went in to b&bw a little over a month ago and picked up one lavender marshmallow candle. It is the most beautiful lavender gourmand ever, and on my top 3 favorite candles from b&bw. However, when I went to the location near me yesterday, I saw that there were no more lavender marshmallow and the candles released in the same line are on clearance. I tried to search for the lavender marshmallow candle on the app and its gone! I am so sad. Someone pleaseee tell me theyre going to restock or if its a reoccurring seasonal scent?! I need it back so badly. If i had known it would be phased out so quickly i would have stocked up! ):
Side note: I am so, so sad this scent didnt get any body care items. It is seriously amazing!
This was my favorite scent that they’ve ever made of all time. I have one single wick that I have half of left lol. I regret not buying a ton of them. And the detergent smelled so good. Will they ever repackage the scent to come out again? I don’t usually get hyper fixated on scents but this one was special.
