Show Off An Immaculate Journey

Post image

Stopped by a new LCS a bit outside my normal range and was surprised to see this box of Immaculate. Had no idea it was back. Last box of their case to boot so I was sold. I may get dusted, but at least I pulled my own shitty cards. As a Yankees fan I'm hoping to see Judge but I'm not gonna hold my breath. Any PC piece would be nice. I have dug Charlie Sheen out to give us some of that tiger blood. Let's go!

This set looks awful. It's a combination of Miami Vice, Saved By the Bell, and a 5 year old playing with a paint brush.

Only 3 numbered cards in 10 chrome blasters...

Was hoping getting them straight from topps pre-order might mean they were going to be juiced... but no.

No autos, 3 numbered cards. 1 shohei base, 1 yordan base, a ton of good rookies (including some parallels), but still very underwhelming.

Waiting on my jumbo, hopefully that is where the hits are.

Future Stars Paul Skenes in 2026 chrome? It’s not like he has 3 all star appearances, ROY honors, and a Cy Young, right? Right?

Double Rip Card

First time opening Allen & Ginger pack and got this double rip card. Seems like it’s worth ~$300ish. Can’t seem to find info about what I’d be chasing if I rip. Is the standard play to not rip?

Need help identifying this Shohei Ohtani Holiday Card

2025 Topps Holiday Shohei Ohtani H1
Pulled from a holiday tin.

I was recently going through my Shohei collection and for whatever reason I didn't notice this when originally sleeving these cards. As you can see the fronts are the same but the back of one of these cards has purple as the base color instead of the typical blue. They both end in serial number 526 which is considered a base card I believe. I've looked all over card sites and eBay but I cant seem to track down a duplicate or any info on this purple backed card. The official checklist does not mention a parallel with simply a color change for the 526 number that I could find.

Possible print defect? Any help IDing the card would be super helpful, thank you.

Question Do I risk a defect claim? Need help

My /10 judge patch has printer ink on the back from the pack. For a higher end card, this definitely ruins it. Should I submit a defect claim with Topps? What will they likely replace it with?

This is what's wrong with parts of the sports card hobby.

So I reached out to a guy about a Nick Kurtz card and made an opening offer. Nothing crazy. Just what I thought was a fair place to start, fully expecting it to be more.

I wasn't expecting him to accept it. I figured he'd counter, say no, or we'd just move on. That's how negotiating works.

Instead I get called a broke boy, accused of being a scammer, told I don't deserve the card, and then get a whole speech about how it's basically guaranteed to be worth $50k if Kurtz wins MVP.

Fine. We obviously value the card differently.

I told him I'd pass. End of conversation, right?

Nope.

This dude actually went through my Reddit posts and started commenting on past posts just to take shots at me and my collection because I wouldn't pay his price. One of the screenshots is from a post that's over two weeks old. He jumps in to tell me my cards are trash, worth $800 combined, and that I'll never own anything close to what he has.

That's honestly the saddest part to me.

If you really have people lined up at $15k, or even $20k, why are you spending your day harassing a guy who offered less? Sell it and move on.

People act like making an opening offer is some personal insult. It isn't. You're free to say no. I'm free to walk away. That's literally how buying and selling works.

The hobby already has enough problems with shill bidding, hype, and people treating every prospect like a guaranteed Hall of Famer. We don't need grown adults following people around Reddit because they didn't like an offer. Just because I can spend what you're asking, doesn't me I am inclined to. trying to rage bate someone into spending more won't work either.

Anyway, screenshots are attached. Curious if anyone else has run into people like this lately or if I just found one of the more unhinged sellers out there.

Question Caught a Monster - Just Got the Grade Back - What's the Play for Sale?

A few weeks ago I caught this monster first print #1/5 Aaron Judge autograph out of a Target Blaster. I sent it off for grading immediately - and just got back the grade - 10 with an Auto Grade of 10.

I know this one's big - and im more of a buyer than a seller - what's the play for selling this? Is it just an ebay listing? Or are yall using other platforms?

I used to collect cards when I was younger and now 30 years later I’m back. Got lucky on the Hobby box I grabbed on Topps presale with this 1:1. Any idea what this may be worth? It’s a beautiful card

Question 1990 leaf (help needed)

Post image
1 Upvotes

hey guys, i’m new to posting on reddit and i’m not very experienced in card collecting. sorry for the long post, but i need some advice.
my uncle passed away earlier this year and he always loved sports. even the last time i visited him, he was still so invested in betting on games. he was also an avid baseball card collector, but he has so many boxes of other sports cards too. we think there’s around 20 or 30k total, with some being decently valuable.
my uncle spent decades trying to get a full psa graded 10 set of 1990 leaf baseball cards. i’m not exactly sure why he liked this set so much, but he bought full sets whenever he could, trying to find the perfect cards to expand his collection. in order to honor him, my grandparents and i want to complete his collection. right now we’re missing about 115 psa 10s.
anyway, we’re not exactly sure how to manage everything because his card collection is so large. we’re currently trying to go through his ungraded cards of this set to try to find the missing potential 10s to be sent for grading, and we probably would need to buy some already graded cards
i guess what i need help with is this:
- advice for determining what cards psa considers “perfect”
- how much this completed collection would be worth (we’re planning to auction it off when it’s complete)
- what the best way to sell sports cards is (how to sell and where to sell) (i heard ebay kinda sucks)
- maybe if anyone here has psa 10s from this set they’re willing to sell or trade?
i’m also not completely sure this is the right sub to post this to so lmk if there’s another sub that could help more lol
any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you!!

missing cards:

TLDR: inherited a huge collection of sports cards and want to complete the 1990 leaf collection of full psa 10s before trying to sell everything but have no idea how to handle it

Topps Chrome Baseball the best baseball product?

I only really collect baseball singles of cards I like. Never gone after a blaster box or mega box for baseball. Is this something I should chase? I always see products of different baseball cards in stores but never have known what to buy.
